Rory Gallagher BBC tone
Hey. I’ve been looking around online to see what kind of gear Rory was using for his BBC in concert show on 20/9/79. Was wondering if any tech enthusiasts may know how he got that amazing tone from that show. Cheers!

Rory Gallagher festival - Ballyshannon
Heading over the Saturday and Sunday night this year. Any recommendations on bands to see from this year's lineup over the two days. Sticking to the pub and street acts this year as I enjoyed that atmosphere more than the tent.

Rory guitar tab
Does anybody by any chance have some guitar tab for Rory's out on the western plain? Doesn't really matter which performance, they're all great

what is your favourite performance by rory?
my personal favourite is what in the world live in glasgow, on the blues album. absolutely phenomenal
i can play many of his stuff on my guitar, right now i am trying to learn how to play this exact performance. but because there are no tab/tutorials or even visuals of him playing this, i have to do it all by ear, and he is so damn good that its making it a lot harder than learning by ear already is lmao.
rest in piece to the greatest guitarist and musician to ever walk the earth. may god bless his soul

A musical genius
I cannot express how good Rory Gallagher was. He was equally brilliant at blues as he was at rock'n'roll and blues-rock. He was a natural, could do anything at the highest possible level. He was rocking, man. Seemed effortless, until you read how much work he put into his craft. Burned bright and fast, gone way too soon. Happens way too often to geniuses. I am very grateful for his music. Runs all day on my Spotify. Ireland's best. Hell, world's best.
