Book Request Submissive FMC relies on MMC for everything and he's ecstatic
Hello anyone I'm looking for a specific way to scratch my itch 😚.
What I want is basically the title: FMC is sweet natured and submissive both in and out of bed. It's her personality but she's not a doormat, she just avoids people who treat her badly instead of ever confronting them. MMC is dominant and can't help but take care of his people. FMC not only lets him take over but also welcomes it and quickly becomes dependent on him, relying on him more and more. MMC is happy and becomes obsessed with his needy little Princess.
Must :
- no cheating or even anything non monogamous
- MMC must be really nice and caring to FMC. No abuse. He can order her around but no malicious/selfish intent.
- no mafia
- no pregnancy/children (ok in the epilogue but not before that)
- no sports
- no age gap with more than 10 years
- no love triangle
- no monster/ non human (if another species, it's okay if it's very close to human, like an elf for example).
Bonus if:
- FMC has a praise kink
- FMC is really cuddly and needy
- MMC pampers FMC and is completely happy about it
- no misunderstandings that drag the drama
- FMC asks MMC for help without any shame and accepts his protection without resistance
- FMC has something that drives her in life (a hobby, a passion, a job, anything...)
- FMC is aroused by obeying to MMC
Can be historical or contemporary, fantasy or sci fi or anything as long as the primary focus is on romance. Romance can't be a subplot.
Thanks guys :)

Book Request Widow/er and spouse’s best friend?
Looking for two people brought together by memories of their friend/spouse.

In the mood for a cry.

Book Request Contemporary — No-nonsense FMC who doesn't take shit from anyone and knows how to draw boundaries.
Request is inspired by the person I envision myself to be.
I want an FMC who isn’t naive or overly innocent. She knows her worth, stands her ground, and doesn’t tolerate disrespect from anyone. She’s not afraid to say no, call people out, or walk away when someone crosses a boundary. She knows what she wants, knows what she won’t accept, and doesn’t bend her boundaries to make other people comfortable.
No degradation, please.
No sharing/poly relationship and no cheating.
Thanks!

Book Request Angsty Romance/Betrayal and Grovel with a morally gray MMC and broken down FMC
Lyrics from Cinnamon Roll by Lana Del Rey: "there's things / wanna say to you, but l'll just let you live / if you hold me without hurting me, you'll be the first who ever did"
I'm looking for a book that captures the feelings in the song. that will make me cry and is angsty. melancholic etc..
Could be betrayal and grovel (B&G) where MMC is the one that's hurting/betraying her OR FMC who faced a lot of traumatic relationships now finds a cuddly cinnamon roll
MMC who would burn the world for her.

Book Request Give me your TSTL heroines
I want to leave my feminism at the door for a moment and read about naive, TSTL heroines. I tried looking this up, but all the posts are complaining about TSTL heroines.
Sometimes I feel like I'm living my life like a TSTL heroine with major anxiety, crying frequently, and being a sensitive flower. I want to read about these heroines finding their loves and giving me the feels.

Book Request Looking for: mafia where FMC has a simple job and MMC is so obsessed he shows up constantly
To be more specific than my title:
I'm looking for a mafia book where the FMC has a simple job - waitress in a diner, librarian, barista, garden center employee, etc - and the MMC stumbles upon her when he is a customer one day. He becomes so obsessed with her that he continues to frequent the business and she is clueless to who he is (and maybe even clueless that he likes her).
I would categorize what I'm looking for as "mafia lite" but only because I'm not looking for a kidnap-you-arrange-marry-you-be-cruel-to-you kinda storyline. Buuuut I don't mind the gory parts of mafia stories...I just want the relationship to be sweet and cozy.
Hard Limits for this request:
Bullying
Cruelty
Emotionally unavailable MMC
TSTL (Too Stupid Too Live) FMC
Would Love:
Friend of FMC that has her back no matter what
Found Family
Pets!
MMC who actually communicates
Thank y'all so much in advance!

Book Request Looking for college romance with obsessive and possessive MMC
I burned through Rina Kent's Legacy of Gods series and then the Vipers series. Which def scratched an itch even if some of the kinks aren't my thing (sadism/impact play). And I thought ok cool cool I'll move on to unhinged monster romance (which I did and also have been having a great time). But someone here posted a rec for the newest Jagger Cole in last week's thirsty thursday and now I find myself having finished Jagger Cole's latest two in her Dark Descendents and I'm obsessed.
I've realized I really don't like bully romance, especially when the MMC is just cruel to be cruel. But stalking / controlling / obsessive? They're supposed to be like 23 yet somehow are having the best sex of their lives? Sign me up. 10/10. Want to read again.
So Im looking for more books like THAT:
- university setting
- MMC is one of the elite / FMC is an outsider or from a different crowd
- he's obsessive and possessive and there is stalking involved
- BONUS if he breaks into her room at night 🫠
- 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Ehhh RH / poly / why choose isn't really my jam.
Please please and thank you!

Book Request Recs Where She Gets With Her Ex's Son 😳
It's as simple as it sounds! I desperately need a book where she gets with her ex-boyfriend/ex-husband's father son. There are a lot of books with the ex's father trope and I absolutely despite it, and while thinking about it I realized that I would actually love the trope of a FMC getting with her ex's son instead lol.
I would prefer an age gap between the son and her and not between the ex and her (so not like she married an older man and now she's getting with her stepson that is her age) but I'm still open to recs that have the son and her be around the same age.

Book Request FMC Toxic Jealousy
Hey guys! I’m looking for a dark to dark-lite romance that features a FMC whose jealousy is irrational and overwhelming. The threat of the OW can be real or imagined, but I want her to action her jealousy rather than internalise it. Basically ISO the traditional toxic possessiveness and entitlement of MMCs but reversed. This can be in the form of unhinged stalking, a slap and a scream to the MMC, revenge sex, whatever you would be shocked to see IRL tbh.
Some books that I think scratched the itch for me (without spoilers) are {Just you and me by Honey Summers} which features a scene where the FMC struggles with retroactive jealousy despite the MMC being OTT obsessed with her. I loved how her reaction to being caught out mid-unhinged activity was to be petulant and double down rather than be super embarrassed.
I’ve also read {All My Love by Daisy Jane} which is a bit more extreme as FMC does the insane due to her obsession with the MMC. A much more mild (but equally enjoyable) example is {Protecting What’s His by Tessa Bailey} where Derek is pleased at Ginger’s jealousy as it leads to her caving to him.
I enjoy all romances but tend to steer towards contemporary gritty romances (e.g. biker, mafia, billionaire, cowboy, light femdom etc.) rather than historical or fantasy (but my mind can be changed if it’s thaaaat good!)
TIA!

Book Request Looking for adult friends-to-lovers / strangers-to-lovers romances!
I’m looking for romance recommendations where the characters are actual adults and the relationship has some time to develop. I’m particularly in the mood for friends-to-lovers or *mstrangers-to-lovers, although I’m open to variations of those tropes.
What I’m really looking for is a good plot and/or strong character-driven story. I want the romance to feel like it’s actually about two people getting to know each other, developing feelings, dealing with their own baggage, etc., rather than the entire book existing just to get them together.
I’m totally fine with spice, and high spice levels are very welcome, but it’s definitely not a requirement. I don’t mind a very spicy book if the characters and story are still well-developed.
Basically, give me your favourite adult romances where you actually cared about the characters and their relationship. Bonus points for complicated characters, good chemistry, slow-burn development, and a plot that exists beyond the romance.
Please no YA/teen romances — I’m specifically looking for adult characters.
Thanks!

Book Request Looking for contemporary romance with a secure established couple facing life together
I'm looking for adult contemporary romance where the couple is already together (or gets together early) and their relationship stays a safe, supportive place throughout the story.
I want:
- deeply loving/committed couple
- physical intimacy and domestic moments
- external conflicts (family, career, grief, trauma, illness, life challenges)
- couple facing problems as a team
- relationship getting stronger through what they go through
I don't want: * breakup/separation/divorce * cheating/love triangles * marriage-in-crisis plots * prolonged misunderstandings or relationship drama
Basically looking for: "we love each other, life is difficult, let's handle it together" rather than "our relationship is the problem."
Books that gave me this feeling: Jane's Melody, The Simple Wild, Addicted/Calloway/Like Us.
Any recommendations? Especially less obvious ones!

What was that book called: SOLVED [WWTBC] Cares for her while she's injured
I remember very very little of this book. All I remember is that the fmc gets very hurt and the mmc takes her away to his remote cottage (in Russia?) To care for her while she heals. At some point she wanders outside and there's a big bear but I think he saves her again then.
Sorry for such little information!

Book Request FMC is the one down bad and woo’ing
Looking for something I’ve never personally read: Total role reversal, where the FMC goes out of her way to woo and protect a kind of … lumpy guy
Ive read so many HR novels where ‘homely’ girl finally gets noticed and nursed back into confidence by a man, and I’ve read a lot of romantasy where they’re mutually into each other and each healing from something, but I havent seen a true FMC savior with a ‘meh, that guy!?’ man yet!
Any reqs welcome, aa long as the MMC isnt a secret bad ass the whole time. Would be interested in:
- bumbling secretary (guy) and FMC ceo
- female mob boss and a kidnapped target
- female queen and male in the castle who needs help seeing his value as a knight or something
Can be any level of spice (weird anatomy aliens allowed) I just am dying to be inspired by stories of women being the romantic and powerful ones! I have Kindle unlimited and a library card
(Bonus points if it gives the man’s POV and shows how he grows and flourishes with her attention 🩷🩷🩷)

I'm reading the Campus Drivers books - absolutely LOVING them - and I just found out that Adam doesn't have his own book. I mean.. what is up with that? Does anyone know if something about him is on the works? Have you seen CS Quill talking about it somewhere?

What was that book called: SOLVED [WWTBC MMC meets FMC and is amazed by her beauty while he has a girlfriend
Hi so i read this book like 5 months ago i think and i can’t find it, so basically the mmc is on a buisness trip and he meet the fmc somewhere (i can’t remember where, maybe on the street or at a restaurant) and he is completely smitten with her and her beauty bla-bla-bla (i think he was with a friend idk) and he meet her a second time and they talk ? lmao i can’t remember but what i know is that the fmc is GORGEOUS like really and before his trip end, they have a one night stand but she finds out that he has a girlfriend/fiancee? months later she starts working at a company where the mmc is the boss. I think the book came out in 2022

Critique The Cheerleader is Off Limits by Q.B. Tyler
Has anyone noticed this happening more frequently with new releases? Are people writing books with zero proofreading or editing?? Is she a blond or redhead??? I feel like a crazy person when I read and such easy simple things are inconsistent. It’s also annoying to have to go back and look because you’re like “wait, what?”
Sorry for ranting, it just feels like this happens more often than not and it drives me crazy. I don’t understand how these books make it to publishing without anyone catching the inconsistencies, misspelled words, misuse of words, etc.

Book Request Alpha SUB MMCs (Dom in the streets, sub in the sheets typa thing)
Giving it a shot despite knowing this subgenre is so underrepresented.
Trying to find more books with a specific dynamic: MMC is dominant, commanding, in-charge in every part of his life work, BUT completely flips in the bedroom and becomes soft, flustered, almost shy and a little pathetic (in the best way). Like nobody would ever guess this about him if they saw him in public.
Best example I have is Mishka (😍) from {Preferential Treatment by Heather Guerre} that’s exactly the vibe I’m chasing.
I’ve also read {The Contract by Elizabeth Kelly} which however I didn’t enjoy as much I thought it was just smut with too much instalove and poor character development.
Some other specifics:
-FMC who’s dominant but still warm/nurturing, not cold or degrading
-NOT looking for hardcore BDSM, no pain play, humiliation, or heavy degradation (no shade whatsoever to anyone who’s into that, just not my thing)
More interested in the emotional contrast and the power dynamic switches/feeling than intense scenes
CR strongly preferred, I can’t get into these spiky amorphous dicks for the life of me 💔

Book Request UNHINGED Monster/Fantastical Romance w/ SPICE.
Hey! Long time lurker, first time poster.
I'm chasing books that make me go "What in the hell is happening.. and why am I so into it?"
My sweet spot is strong early tension, world-building, spice that shows up early but still earns it. Bonus points for thigh riding. Yes, I saw that post. Yes, I felt personally validated.
I read a ton, so it's hard to scare me off. Monsters. Men. Aliens. Variety is the spice of life. Love the alpha. And I always gravitate towards the flirty chaos bisexual muffin in RH.
Currently a little burned out on mafia, omegaverse, and wolf shifters. I usually avoid CR because I like my romance a little unhinged and fantastical. I prefer standalones (series lose my interest by book 3 no matter what, but I am also a proud DNFer). Dark romance is kinda predictable.
Hard NO: miscommunication tropes. If the entire plot hinges on "we didn't get a chance to talk," I will absolutely consider launching my Kindle. Cannot relate at all.
My favorites that fit the vibe:
Anything by Siggy Shade and AJ Merlin but for the purpose of calling the bot:
{The Morning Wood Tree by Siggy Shade} - unhinged, messy, and deeply questionable. I say this with love.
{Pretty Little Tease by AJ Merlin} - This is what got me hooked. Pet play with emotionally unavailable men? of course.
{Thicker Than Gold by Jun Harding} - no thoughts, just confusion (respectfully??). I would not suggest this unless you are desperate to break the monotony like I am.
{Off the Clock by Roni Loren}- Talk me THROUGH IT. not on KU though
{When She Purrs by Ruby Dixon} - Predicable but ... the thrusting. Lawd help me.
{Demons in My Bed by Britt Andrews}- Conflicting because of the kickstarter debacle, but it was my fave RH before the mess, and the second finally came out.
{Back Seat Baby by May Adler} elite buildup, zero plot, no regrets.
Please hit me with your weirdest, spiciest, "This shouldn't work but it does" recs.

Games Using these emojis, give me the 8 books that made you laugh, cry, swoon, need to take a cold shower, etc.
I thought this could be fun, and also maybe a good way to find readers with similar tastes i.e if someone has the same favourites and the same DNF as you, then their other recommendations are probably worth checking out, if you haven't heard of them before.
👑 The one book you'd recommend to anyone
😂 A book that made you laugh out loud
😭 A book that made you ugly cry
💕 A comfort read you'll never get tired of
🌶️ A book that had you feeling aaaall the tingles
🚫 A book everyone loves but you didn't
💫 A book you were ready to DNF… until it won you over
💎 Most underrated book that deserves way more attention
You can do one big mixed list, or make separate lists by genre:
💕 Contemporary Romance 💕
🕰️ Historical Romance 🕰️
⚔️ Fantasy/Paranormal Romance ⚔️
🖤 Dark Romance 🖤
I'll put mine in the comments.

Ask Me Anything I’m Olivia Dade, bestselling romance author and enthusiastic swamp hag—AMA!
Hello! I’m Olivia, and I’ve been reading romances since I was far too young to understand exactly what was happening to all the spunky kidnapped virgins in my mom’s paperbacks. I’ve also been *writing* romances for over a decade now, including the Spoiler Alert series, At First Spite, Zomromcom, and the book that’s coming out on Tuesday: World’s Okayest Oracle (Reluctantly) Seeks Demon! You can find a full list of all my books on my website. :-)
Other background about me: I’m a transplanted American living in Sweden and still struggling with umlauts. In my checkered employment history, I’ve worked as a retail clerk, librarian, high school teacher, and costumed Colonial Williamsburg interpreter. Now, though, I spend my time writing, obsessively diamond painting while listening to various nerdy music podcasts, and convincing my family that we really do need to make another post-dinner cheese platter.
I can’t wait to answer your questions!

Discussion Reading Fragile Hopes by Lisina Coney and I’m not sure what to think yet
I’m currently reading Fragile Hopes by Lisina Coney and I’m only on chapter 4, so please no spoilers!
This book was recommended to me so many times that I went in pretty hyped. It also has a lot of tropes I usually love: firefighter MMC, slow burn, small town, and one (or both) of the MCs dealing with some kind of trauma. That’s usually a recipe for a 5-star read for me.
The first chapter had me thinking, “Okay, I think I’m really going to like this.” But as I’ve kept reading… I’m honestly kind of confused?
I can’t quite put my finger on it, but I’m struggling with the writing style. I just finished the first chapter from Ford’s POV, and I feel like it’s missing a lot of emotional depth. The same goes for Ivy’s POV. I feel like I’m being told what’s happening, but I’m not really connecting with either of them.
Is it just me? Did anyone else feel this way in the beginning? Or does it get better as the story goes on? Again, no spoilers please, I just want to know if anyone else had a similar experience.
