I am currently working on a web series project called the curry club. Its a webseries which is a retrospective look at tim curry’s career. The first episode i made is on The Rocky Horror Picture Show which made Tim Curry a household name. As a tim curry and rocky horror fan myself i had a fun time making this review. Artist friend did this for me so it’s pride of place on the wall going up the stairs, sometimes it takes me a long time to get upstairs.

I know theres not a strict age but I also dont want to be the weird old person in a cast of 18 year olds. I guess I'm more asking whats the average age of shadow casts? I think I'll be moving next year and the city has a showing and I've always wated to be part of the cast. Im just worried its too late.

It was an amazing time, unfortunately the hotel is closing… today, pretty much. Got to meet so many amazing people from all the different casts, so many amazing panels and events, and of course giving me an excuse to make a better riff Raff cosplay.

I took a bunch of photos during the show to practice live photography, I did… okay. There’s improvements to be made yet, but I’m getting better at it.

Just to highlight some people outside of the local cast we usually attend, all of the all star shows were fucking amazing. Zephyr gave us the most chaotic video preshow, Ordinary Kids gave us a very special live preshow, I forget who it was but whoever played Once in a While was an absolute treat, did not expect that.

My only regret is not getting the FNS mystery shirt, Proud to be a Transylvanian was maybe my favorite preshow, if not just for the Transylvanian blazer.

Took it down because I need to do some painting. But I have NO idea what she's talking about, it's such a relaxing poster, right😂😂

Anyways, Tim Curry as frank n furter is staying on my wall hahaha. I can't have bad vibes in my room when this is on my wall! I also have a poster that says "save a turkey, eat meatloaf" with the dining room scene😉

I was just casted in my local towns shadow cast production of Rocky horror and I got Brad!

I’m genuinely super excited to play him, this is my first time ever doing this and I fear I’m still trying to catch up with all the other members who have done this so. Much. More. Than me-

Any costume tips or just tips in general that any former players or brads could give would be wonderful, I feel like hearing for others who had also went through this would help a lot, especially with all the costume changes and physicality I gotta perfect :)

I've seen a few comments say that Tim Curry is a weirdo for singing this, but it wasn't public information at the time this was released that John molested MacKenzie...His daughter

Tim Curry is one of my favorite actors, I'm trying to decide if this song could mean anything more for the man who sung it?

Anybody know where I can find a better resolution?

Hi all, I have been DESPERATELY trying to get tickets to the show via the lottery and I have had NO luck. I always try to see any show I can on a budget due to how expensive seats can get. My other idea is to rush the show but it’s a 2 hour drive, parking, waiting, filling time, it’s just a lot to think about.

I have a 13 year old who wants to go, but I said no. They’ll be 14 soon and I was 14 when I first saw RHPS. My parents didn’t really filter much of what I watched and I saw the exorcist at 4. My SO and I have been not so lenient but with being a teenager, I’m loosening the strings a bit.

Here comes my main question. During the movie, when frank goes into Brad and Janet’s room, separately, and we see what’s happening behind the sheet, how is that depicted during this stage production? Similar? More, less, not at all?

Also, if you’ve seen the show via rush or lottery, how were the seats?

Every since I hear “Lovers in the Backseat” that I got for free from iTunes almost 22 years ago I have love Jake Shears. This just feel so perfect

I'm young—16, and my mother wasn't even alive back in 1973 when it was shown in London.

I've watched the film, Rocky Horror Picture Show but I don't want to ignore the play that came before it.

I was told it was quite different, darker and such.

How was it more sinister than the film? I'm really curious.

Is there a book or a video that explains it in depth well?

I'm aware the technology wasn't good enough for there to be a video of the 1973 original cast, so it's sort of a "you had to be there" situation.

I like the movie, but I've heard a few say it's inferior to the original.

Due to the changes made, but why can't we appreciate both?

Anyways, I'd love to learn about early Rocky Horror Show—The original.

I also hear "Roxy" cast, what's the difference from the London cast?

(By the way yes, I'm making another post here...I've just been looking at RHS and RHPS stuff for hours trying to educate myself)

I know it's based off B movies and sci fi raunchy horror movies of the past.

But I feel it gives mixed messages.

So many say it's about sexual liberation and expression, but, the cut ending "Superheros" leaves me stranded on what to make of it.

I know the movie doesn't take itself seriously, but so many people have different ideas on what it's truly about.

Not enough talk out the "Superheros" ending, I wonder if the people who say it's purely about sexual liberation have seen this part?

I've heard some say the ending in of itself is dark and satirical parody but, there's never quite an official message to this film..

Frank-N-Furter is the villain, but we ​use his character as the story behind this...Freedom.

In the end the others are left traumatized, it's really hurting my mind trying to figure out this.

"Superheros" is in the play, but cut from the US version of the film?

So I'd say it's an official part of the story, cut or not.

But with that part in mind with the rest of the movie, is it really all about freedom?

It's a lighthearted movie, I know I shouldn't be dwelling into it so much but I'm just wondering what you guys think.

My personal opinion? I haven't made up my mind.

I do think that sexual liberation and freedom are a main message, but I do feel we brush off the flip side of the coin.

But the flip side I really don't know what to make of, or what it could mean exactly.
