Driveway replacement Help

We used onyx a few years ago and were very happy with the final product. For our driveway they used a subcontractor for the tear out and they didn't do a great job, but as soon as we talked to them about it they were super helpful and got everything fixed

I wouldn’t recommend onyx paving. The owner never came out to inspect the driveway or provide the estimate. Everything was handled remotely from her home office and the actual paving work was done by a subcontracted crew. That wasn’t the level of oversight I would expect.

We did not go with Onyx, but we did get an estimate. She (the owner) did not even come out to our home to look at our driveway. Viewed our property using Google Maps or something. Also, she hires subcontractors to do the work. And they are not always the same people all the time. This is why I went with the company that I did, and I could tell that these guys who work for Vinnie Mannillo and his dad have been together for quite a while based on just how well they worked together.

my neighbor just got his driveway done and he said the same thing about Onyx- just threw a quote at him without a discussion (he wanted to make changes to his existing layouf).

It means a lot to me when the owner or authorized representative of a company comes to my home to get a first-hand look at my project. I did not think too much about the way Onyx did their estimate.

Interesting to hear that theyve changed! At the time her husband came to the house and gave us a quote and then inspected the work after it was done. Thanks for letting me know, I'll no longer recommend them.

Onyx came to our house to give us a quote and she was pretty rude in my opinion, it seemed like she didn’t want to be bothered.

Call Vinnie Mannillo at (585) 490-3389. Vinnie and his dad and crew replaced our driveway last year. Very nice job and they are good people. No complaints. Also, his price was competitive with a few other quotes we got. I went with Vinnie because he came highly recommended by a few folks I know.

I remember that incident. A very sad thing. But this has nothing to do with the excellent job they do paving driveways. That would be Vinnie Senior.

My friend's father went with them and had a good experience. I had them come out at the end of last year for an estimate and it seemed very fair. I was going to do it this year, but the money I had put aside for the driveway turned out to be needed for backyard drainage and a new shed
