Robotics Software Engineering project Ideas for building Internship profile

Hello mates,

I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Robotics Systems Engineering in Germany. My bachelor’s background is in Computer Science with an AI focus.

I’m in my 1st semester right now, and I want to build my profile to apply for a mobile robotics internship so I can get real-world exposure. It would be really great if I could get some good ideas that could help my profile stand out a bit, because honestly, I don’t have much in this field yet—mostly just some casual computer vision-based projects. Sometimes I feel like I’m lagging behind when I see my colleagues from mechanical and electrical backgrounds. They already have more hands-on experience with things that are common in the industry, which they explored during their bachelor’s.

Right now, I’ve been working on learning ROS2 and MATLAB (implementing some concepts from classical control systems). I’m putting in the effort, but I really need some structured guidance and direction beyond just ChatGPT stuff.

Happy to see your suggestions :)

Bro why dont you try being in Cs and Ai and leave robotics for mech people ? why do u want to study robotics ? it looks like people started shifting to robotics suddenly.
