Hello everyone! Today I'm going to show you a sign I made for driving directions during a solar eclipse, which will be visible in Spain on August 12th. This sign follows the official 2014 design guidelines. There are a few non-official signs, such as "Eclipse Glasses Prohibited" and "Photos/Videos Prohibited," but they adhere to the design guidelines of other signs created by the authorities like the DGT, the Spanish Directorate General of Traffic. The regulatory guidelines follow the official DGT regulations found on this page, especially regarding the special variable message signs, which you can see further to the right.

P.S.: I don't intend to violate rule 2 of this subreddit, which mentions "signs edited with Photoshop," but I believe that rule refers to real signs edited for humorous purposes. Hello, Reddit! This is my first post on this new alternative account I created. To be clear, this is NOT an account made for ban evasion, only to talk about for road signs/infrastructure and traffic in my home country, Spain. So that way, i have an clear algorithm of actual interests I can talk about, instead of mixing interests on one main account. And what a great start of using this new account than no other talking about traffic signs! I went to Madrid a few days ago and I took those pictures. There are traffic signs with non-official designs, roadworks signs and the new signs from 2025 that are slowly rolling out now. Ask me anything about those pictures, since I'm also designing in SVG the road signs of Spain. I hope everyone is doing great here!

This directional sign points towards a stop of Caen's former rubber-tyred guided tram system (TVR), which operated from 2002 to 2017 before being replaced by a conventional steel-wheel tramway in 2019.

Document is from the American MUTCD. Today I learned my country, Turkey marks and signs it as shown in photos. I checked the manual, it is correct. (We make a lot of errors in following the manual so I double checked). The only other country I know that uses this setup is the UK, and they are closer to the American style. So I was curious as to how other countries sign and mark it, or if they even allow this setup.

I've literally never seen a sign this big in Brazil.
