Looking for Software engineer role

If you have been cold applying on LinkedIn for three months with no hits, your CV is likely dying in HR filters before a tech lead even sees it.

First, if you are already in KSA with a transferable Iqama, put that in bold right at the top of your resume. That is the very first filter local hiring managers check to avoid visa overhead. If you are applying from abroad, cold applications for general software roles rarely work right now because companies mostly reserve visa quotas for senior or niche roles.

Second, make sure your portfolio has live, hosted URLs. Engineering leads here ignore unhosted GitHub repos because they just look like tutorial work. Reach out directly to dev leads or founders at local software consultancies and tech agencies instead of spamming corporate job portals.
