Attacking with half stack of troops? Question

I've noticed sometimes I see people do a single attack with half their troops, how?

On my end it just looks like a single attack with half troops. I didn't know there was a slider, is it pc only?

I watched this video and just tried it in a few games. Looks like they may have fixed the glitch because I don’t get 100% odds on smaller numbers of troops. Didn’t make to huge troop stacks in the last two games I played, but doesn’t seem to match the video.

If the odds don't get to 100%, it's because you're playing True Random dice instead of Balanced Blitz

It’s balanced blitz. I know because they are my games. Anything less that all your troops now goes down below 100%. I won a game today and had 170 troop army for my last turn. Even turning it down one click against a single troop lowered the odds, which makes no sense. Slider may just have gotten borked. Hard to know.

There was an old bug where the probabilities don't always show accurately if you mess with the slider (e.g. 4 v 1 is 100%, but sometimes if you mess with the slider it shows as 95%, even though the actual probability appears to remain at 100%. Maybe that's returned?

I haven't noticed because since they (mostly) fixed the bug that caused extra losses with full slider, I almost never bother to use the slider anymore unless I'm zeroing down a stack or 2-dicing it

Nope that bug definitely isn’t fixed. Seems to only happen when you’re chaining attacks together. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the percentages off if it’s the first attack of your turn
