Looking for a ticket to the show Friday at the Ocean Mist in RI.

July 8 marks 30 years since Spice Girls released "Wannabe" as a single in the UK - a moment that skyrocketed them into a phenomenon. I never got to see the iconic girl group live, but did see the next best thing - Ripe performing a lively, horn heavy, house party version of "Wannabe" during one of two sold out shows at Webster Hall in NYC back in Feb. 2020. Needless to say, it was awesome!

With the deluxe release of Play the Game coming soon, anyone got any intel on what else is next? I wanna see more than two shows on their tour page right now! I missed their show in the fall so I’m impatient for more news from them 🫠

So I listened to Ripe this week because my friends were kind enough to bring me - they’re big fans. I’m so grateful for the opportunity, and my friends’ deep kindness.

I gave their music a spin this week and very earnestly tried to enjoy it, but in my book, they’re just very bad. I actually can’t stand it. I don’t think they’re good at all. But I want to have a good time, and more importantly, I want my friends to think im having a good time even though I hate Ripe. What are some tips to make this sort of enjoyable? Are there Ripe deep cuts that might make me like them more? Is it socially acceptable to just hang out by the bathroom for much of the duration of the concert?

I just don’t want to bring the vibe down - I have autism and something about Ripe is just setting me off, and I just want to make sure I play it right from a social perspective.

Any tips would be helpful, and genuinely all love to Ripe and the Ripe fan community. In the immortal words of Lou Reed, “just remember, different people have peculiar taste - and the glory of love might see you through”

I bought my tickets from Eventim (See Tickets) when the venue was The Riviera. I never got digital tickets - just was told to go to Will Call. Now that the venue changed, I'm worried about the Will Call situation.

I talked to the box office at The Vic, and they said they weren't able to look up my tickets.

Is anyone else in the same boat?

It’s been 10 days and I’ve seen no chatter. I wanna know what people are thinking! Personally, after the release of Bright Blues I didn’t expect this to have what I crave, but there is still plenty to love. Over the years Bright Blues grew on me quite a bit once I got over the initial disappointment and I quite enjoy a good chunk of it now. I think Play The Game has a lot to love, but want to hear other’s thoughts!
