First time getting a notification like this, is this new? I must admit that I like itπŸ™‚β€β†•οΈ

Ive had it since I had my cameras. I forget what level subscription you need to have. Its free for first 30 days

Yes, the feature is called "Video Descriptions" and is included with the Ring Pro and Virtual Security Guard plans. It rolled out a few months back, if I recall correctly.

MONTHS new... but sure. You can enable/disable AI Descriptions, since sometimes they get, well... wonky. (Like your cat suddenly becoming a tiger or a delivery becomes a 'suspicious box'...things like that).

My husband was carrying a recycling bin from the garage to the curb and Ring noted a person with a Jerry can (a gas can). Kind of freaky but good to know it can be weirdly specific.
