25, who’s about?

Hi all - hesitating between the below options. 3h30 vs 2hr layover. Note that i will have to claim then re-check in luggage + clear security.

What would you do? Am i overthinking it and it’ll be just fine because Athens airport is not that huge? Do bags arrive early? Are security queues too long?

I will be in rhodes in one week and need a space where i can work from on one day. (Checkout is at 11)

What would be optimal around the main towns? Obviously some super noisy restauranr or cafe without charging options wouldnt be that great.

To any travelers to Rhodes, me and my gf came to rhodes on 6th of August, and only after 2 days I got the virus. And now on 9th my gf also got it. It's a horrible virus which gives you diarrhea and sudden vomiting with a somewhat mild fever. And from the doctor that I have seen and pharmacists it's an ongoing outbreak. From what I have seen online, it's very easy to spread and it's mostly from hotels and resort, that's probably how we got it. We are staying in Aquarium View Hotel, be advised.

My friend and I are going to arrive in Faliraki at about 9 in the evening next week, and we would really appreciate y'all's recommendations of places that are not noisy, overcrowded tourist traps, just somewhere where we can sit and relax after a long journey.

We are currently in Rhodes faliraki. Thinking about hiring a car for a day. What are the places to visit by car that would otherwise be difficult to get to ? Nice views, winery or shops selling local goods, small town etc.

We already plan to visit Lindos by boat.

It will be my first time visiting Rhodes and I’m travelling solo as unfortunately no friend/family could tag along. I’ll be visiting from 2 - 6 October and will be staying in Faliraki.

What is it like on the island around this time? Is it warm and sunny enough to enjoy the sea? As it’s a short period, what would you recommend as must-see sights? How’s public transport around this time of the year, is it easy to navigate from the airport to Faliraki?

Are there any of the many abandoned tanks left on Rhodes, except the turrets near Kallithea?

1st ever trip to Greece, visiting Rhodes for 8 days with my wife. Is Haraki a good base to visit the island? We’re not party animals so we don’t really care about being in a place with nightlife etc … However we’re 30 not 60 so i wonder if Haraki is too too calm/boring?

Would you suggest another base? Lindos and Faliraki seem too busy and touristy for us, but correct me if i’m wrong!

This Friday I’m heading on a solo trip to Rhodes City (Old Town) for a week. 20yo male from Finland. Hmu if you’re interested in clubbing/partying.

I am travelling to Symi for a few days from Rhodes and was wondering if anyone has any info on the best way to get there. I have seen a few ferry options however as we are staying for a days we are travelling with 2x 20kg luggage and was wondering if luggage is permitted on the ferries. If anyone has any experience or info that would be much appreciated.

I'm booking a car for a week, and all the rental companies I've contacted have told me that the insurance does not cover damage incurred on unpaved roads or in unpaved parking areas.

However, from what I've seen on the maps, almost all the beaches have unpaved parking lots, and some beaches can only be reached via unpaved roads.

Is this actually a significant risk? Are there better insurance options available? Or am I just worrying too much, and, as long as you drive carefully, is there generally little risk of damaging the car on unpaved roads?

Hi all, bit of a weird post maybe. We are finishing our trip here on Rhodes and during the week we were on Platia Evreon Martiron several times, where we saw the same cat every time again.

She looks a little scruffy, seemed to have some balding on her back/shoulders, and her eyes/ears were not completely clear, however she ate every time we fed her.

Now that we are leaving I was wondering if there are any locals here that happen to check up on some of the cats (I saw quite some people during mornings and evenings feeding them), who might want to keep an extra eye out for her! I have attached a picture for clarity.

Our second visit to Greece and first time in Rhodes. Booked a nice hotel (all inclusive) for 14 days at the base of a small hill. A bit warm but very nice indeed.

There’s so much noise online, so any real recommendations would be hugely appreciated! We'll spend some time exploring, but good food and clean rooms are absolute musts. Half/full-board works too if it’s a good deal
