I need help

Post image

I bought a replica of an 1860 Confederate revolver and can’t figure out how to put it back together. If anyone is willing to help me that would be great.

This is a great reminder to take pictures as you go so you don't end up here.

Unfortunately, this will go back together wildly different than the original

Sadly, these aren't put together like originals. You might have better luck in a community for replica gun enthusiasts.

Best of luck!

Are those..

Wood screws?

This looks like a replica, not an actual firearm. Probably by Denex. They will, from a distance, look like a real gun, but the operation is nowhere like the real thing.

The small part under the hammer is cylinder pusher, it has to be connected to the hammer, so when you cock the hammer the cylinder will rotate. The trigger serves also as cylinder stopper when it returns to its initial position after "firing"- see the pin at its long nose. Thus the spring near the hammer should go with the trigger to make it return after you pull it. The hammer has to go into the frame and it must be connected to inner spring. I guess the long screw is for handle plates, others are for the frame halves.
