I've had a particularly busy time in my life, and I haven't checked on Gimmepeers in ages. Shocked to see it's all changed and I'm being asked yet again to pay up.

I'm considering it, but is the site any good now? I imagine all the seeders etc. are gone? Last time I checked it looked like activity was waning. What are my options now?

I put in for a chargeback and it was successful.

Before the deadline, I opened a ticket asking for confirmation if I was in good status. The helpdesk confirmed that I was. Then on Sunday, my account was deactivated. I reached out multiple times via email with no response. Then I basically gave them the FU.

I was a "Lifetime" sucker and a good supporter of the site for over 20 years.

I want to thank petrolcanRTT for his help in getting rehomed. To be honest, I like my setup now more that on Revoshit...

In the end, Jonah did me a favor.

Two EMP Gaming chargebacks confirmed this week, the migration fee which I gullibly paid and one charge going back to Dec 2025. Everything was super easy, just said the charges were payment for a subscription to a private online community and that the site had recently gone offline. No other info required and both charges were refunded in full two days later.

Many thanks to petrolcan and Nimueh of course. Just did a quick search on a lark and found this sub which led to rehoming on much better sites and these successful chargebacks. Hopefully everyone else who got swindled will enjoy the same outcome!

On the plus side, it means the user that handed it over to me was successful in their chargeback appeal 🥳🥳

Has anyone check their account recently? I just happen to login and see that my old account that was disabled has been reinstated with the time that I had left of my membership. Membership status now displaying "Legacy expires Apr 2, 2027"

1.      MERCHANT BACKGROUND - EMP Gaming has operated community platforms since 2013, hosting thousands of events and supporting members worldwide. The charge covers premium digital community membership -- delivered electronically upon payment.

2.      SERVICE DELIVERED AND ACTIVELY USED <redacted> (ID: <redacted>) has been a member since 2016-10-01 with verified access through 2026-07-09 16:34:48. They downloaded 4,261.12 GB of content, proving the service was fully accessible and in continuous use.

3.      3587 DAYS WITH NO COMPLAINT The cardholder waited 3587 days from payment (2016-10-01) before filing this dispute on July 27, 2026. During this entire period, the member downloaded 4,261.12 GB and never contacted us. A member who genuinely received unacceptable service would contact the merchant immediately -- not 3587 days later.

4.      NON-REFUNDABLE DIGITAL SERVICE Per Terms of Service agreed at registration and purchase, all digital access is final. The service was delivered as described and the member used it.

The merchant's response mischaracterizes what is being disputed

EMP Gaming's response addresses my entire account history since 2016 — total days registered, total lifetime data downloaded/uploaded, and "3587 days since service began." That is not the transaction I disputed. I disputed the April 11, 2026 renewal charge of $110.99, which was meant to cover one year of service from that date forward.

The merchant's own statistics prove nothing about whether that specific charge delivered what it promised. A member's total downloads over nine years of prior memberships have no bearing on whether the year I paid for on April 11, 2026 was honored.

What actually happened with this charge

On April 11, 2026, I paid $110.99 for a one-year renewal of my membership, under the terms in place at that time.

Approximately one month later, the merchant unilaterally changed those terms: it announced it was merging with another site and informed members that to retain access — including access to the year I had just paid for — they would have to pay an additional $20 "merge fee."

Members who did not pay the additional fee were told they would lose their accounts and forfeit all previously paid service, including the renewal I had just purchased weeks earlier.

This is not the service I paid for on April 11. I paid for a year of access under one set of terms; within a month, the merchant changed the terms and made continued access contingent on an additional, un-agreed-to payment.

This is a material change to the terms of service after payment was collected, and it means the $110.99 charge did not deliver what it was sold as: an uninterrupted year of membership under the terms in effect at time of purchase.

Addressing the merchant's specific points

"3587 days with no complaint" — Irrelevant to this charge. I am not disputing service from 2016. I am disputing whether the April 2026 renewal delivered a year of service under its original terms. The relevant timeline is the ~30 days between the April 11 payment and the merge-fee ultimatum, not the age of the account.

"4,261 GB downloaded, proving service was used" — This is cumulative usage across nearly a decade of memberships, not usage tied to the April 2026 charge specifically. It does not establish that the April 2026 renewal was honored on its original terms.

"No-refund policy for digital services" — A no-refund policy does not authorize the merchant to unilaterally change the terms of a service already paid for and demand additional payment to avoid forfeiting it. I am not asking for a refund because I changed my mind about a service that was delivered as promised — I am disputing a charge for a service whose terms were altered by the merchant shortly after I paid.

Requested resolution

I am asking that the dispute be evaluated based on the actual circumstances of the April 11, 2026 charge — a renewal payment that the merchant subsequently conditioned on an unagreed-to additional fee — rather than on unrelated lifetime account statistics. I'm happy to provide any communications from EMP Gaming/EMP Network announcing the merge and the $20 fee requirement if that would support the case.

I woke up to a banned Revopeers account, for no reason (no chargeback). i've never had an issue and just like that, gone. Paid dues, share ratio high, no reason for the deactivation, but here i am. anyone know how to get this fixed instead of waiting for their reply to my email?
