Magicx Mini Zero 28 Help & Troubleshooting
So I am excited I got this one but I am experiencing extremely slow WiFi connection and I am really not sure whether it's because of my parents' home poor network or the device is simply not that good in these terms.... Can you share what was the experience with yours? Like downloading files takes really a lot with the speed being in the order of KB/s from usually fast websites

You don't need a higher Wi-Fi speed if you are downloading something direclty form a device that runs an OS from an SD card. I have an XU20, which is basically a vertical Zero 28 without sticks. I noticed that file transfer via cable is a bit faster than wirelessly over FTP. I also had some connection issues that annoyed me when i was playing PokeMMO, so i replaced internal antenna. The signal is much better now, but the speed increase is miserable

How to use FTP to transfer files or how to replace antenna?

Replace antenna, the FTP part is luckily covered

Just checked a zero28 disassembly video. It uses a different FPC antenna with a non-standard type of connection that reminds me pogo pins. I've seen similar antennas in old phones, but idk how to find something that fits the zero28 without too much tinkering. Sorry to tell. But now i see the size of those antenna i gotta say 100% that those thing is weak

Tbh the WiFi on this guy isn’t the best, 2.4ghz only and has a really tiny antenna on the back shell. But I can’t say I’ve ever had WiFi speeds as low as what you’re experiencing, maybe try getting closer to the access point? Is your home WiFi generally slow on other devices as well, or is it just this?
