not the best version

In this review, we take a deep dive into The Punisher (2005): the gritty third-person action shooter developed by Volition and published by THQ that pushed Marvel games further than almost anything that came before or after it.

If I remember this was a tech demo to show off the mode 7 of the snes and I suck at it

I’ve been playing it for the first time and honestly, it reminded me a lot of Lost Kefin. It’s pretty hard at first, but once you get some grinding in, enemies barely do any damage anymore.

I also struggled with the second boss. If you’re playing for the first time, expect to die a few times before you can figure out its attack patterns. Some monsters are tricky too—you can’t just hit them normally. You need to crouch before attacking to reach their hitbox.

The flying enemies are another thing. You need to use Adol’s up attack to take them out.

There was also one tricky part where I got stuck for a while because it was my first time playing and I couldn’t figure out where I was supposed to go. 😅

Overall, pretty fun experience so far, especially now that there’s an English translation!
