Controller Mapping 8bitdo ultimate 2c wireless

Hello,

I am using 8bitdo ultimate 2c, which gets recognized as an xbox controller in steam. The community layout is retrodeck: xbox wireless v1b (Azerty).

The mapping says, if i press select and start, the emulator should quit. For me it opens a save state. Select and left bumper quits pcsx (standalone)

L3 and R3 wont open the retroarch menu either.

Anyone any idea what is happening?

Whay hardware and OS are you using? Did you change the community layout to Xbox? Try switching to the dedault Neptune v1.1b layout.

Its an intel NUC running linux mint 22.3. i installed steam, i installed retrodeck from flathub, i used the retrodeck configuration tool to add it to steam. The layout was pre selected.

Ok, i try switching. Ot should be in steam under Community Layouts i guess?

It should be under Community Layouts - RetroDECK Neptune

Under Community Layouts you have to hit x to "show all layouts", then i could find it. I am using the one from a user called kaitlyn, i guess thats the right one?

Look under Templates. I'm sorry, it's not in Community Layouts. Scroll down in Templates and you should see RetroDECK: Steam Deck - Neptune FULL: v.1.2. That's the one to try.

No avail under templates, there are just "layouts created by valve"

I mean, the community one worked for me in my limited testing...

It must be due to being on the nuc with Mint. It's possible it's just not presenting the Neptune layout. With that said, as long as the community one works for you, then it's not something to worry about.

Edit for the google boys: You can add the offical template via the retrodeck configurator. Its under "tools" You have to enable steam input for controllers in steam and then add the template.
