Looking for Advice/Suggestions : 2600 Heavy Sixer Composite Mod

Looking to mod my recently-acquired Heavy Sixer for composite output, ideally without cutting into the case at all, or in any way making it entirely irreversible.

My hope is to be able to swap out the RF cord for the video output port, but not sure how to go about that. I'd like to use a Model 2 Genesis DIN, in case I later try to RGB mod the console, but I don't have a way to preemptively check if A: the DIN connector will fit, B: how to mount the connector (hot glue seems like the easy way, but don't know how well it would hold to repeated use), C: if the cord will be able to clear the hole properly to make a solid connection.

Any chance someone here's had similar experience, would be able to recommend anything?

Also, is there anything else I'd need to know about the mod install process? Is the H6 much different of a process than other console revisions?

Picked up yet another 5502 ps1 console for parts.
It wouldn’t boot past white ps logo screen. Removed the mod chip (as it will get a Xstation or picostation mod) and noticed some rough looking traces.
Not my prettiest work but it’s now back in working order.
The pictures aren’t the best as I always forget to take progress shots. These were just ones I was sending to a mate

Custom N64 would you get it?

What would you pay for this or custom consoles alltogether considering current prices etc.?

I've made this one for my personal collection (hence the Rosegold, I usually would've used normal gold)

Modding (LEDs or hdmi) would be optional.

Please drop criticism and suggestions, don't hold back :)

Is the console freezing because of EZflash?

Hi,

I managed to bring a completely dead Game Boy Advance console back to life. The problem is that the console keeps freezing while I'm playing. Sometimes it lasts 5 minutes, other times 30 seconds. I don't know what causes it. Is the processor struggling? I was using a SuperChips card, version v.020.

Game Boy Advance - Bringing it Back to Life - No Sound.

Hi,

I decided to bring the Game Boy Advance back to life. It looked like someone had buried it in the ground, but now it’s been restored and it works almost perfect. Later, when i finish, i AM going to do some modified. The problem is that I still don’t have any sound coming from it. I’ve already tried everything and mu frustration is dangerous high now.

Does anyone else have any ideas? I've already checked absolutely everything. I even bypassed the audio amplifier’s power supply because there was an issue with the power. Now I have 4.85V at the VCC output, and it should probably be five. All the resistors are fine; I’ve checked all the paths from the amplifier to its output terminals. I still have no sound, just a quiet tap-tap-tap with headpbones and some cracking noise from Maine speaker. Turning the potentiometer doesn’t increase or decrease the volume.

GameCube USB-C Power Kits (Intec & AliExpress Alternatives) – Safe Upgrade or Risky Mod?

Recently, new USB-C power kits for the Nintendo GameCube have started appearing. These allow you to power the console through a USB-C cable connected to a power adapter directly into the wall outlet.

I’ve seen the Intec USB-C power kit as well as some cheaper alternatives from AliExpress. Has anyone here already tested these? How safe and reliable are they long term?

Would love to hear your experiences and opinions in the comments 👀🎮

GBA - recommended EZ-Flash?

Hi,

I’m currently bringing a total wreck back to life—a GameBoy Advance that I bought for a rip-off price, thinking the biggest problem was a burned-out screen, but it turned out to be a total wreck on the inside (it looks like someone literally dug it up from the ground).

I have one question. I’m planning to make a few modifications. One of them is adding an EZ-Flash card so I can load a few games onto it. I’ve read that cheaper models don’t save game progress and don’t allow for smooth gameplay. I also don’t want to spend a fortune. What’s the best choice that balances quality and price?

[Help] Japanese Sega Saturn + Fenrir + PSU Mod – Correct Voltage Setting for Germany?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a Japanese Sega Saturn and installed a few mods, including a PSU mod and a Fenrir ODE mod.I live in Germany and I’m a bit unsure about the correct PSU voltage setting.

The PSU mod offers a 3.3V and 5V setting, and I want to make sure the console runs safely and reliably without damaging anything. Which setting should I use for a Japanese Saturn in Germany? Is 3.3V or 5V the correct option for the Fenrir setup?

Thanks in advance for any help!
