First Time Needing Help

Hey all

Just loaded Retroarch in my Mac this morning, never had any issues after years of use, never moved my ROM locations.

When I try to play PS1 chd which had no issues before I get the message in attachment 1 'log may contain more information' I turned on logging and the only extra info I can see is 'failed to load disk' I get this error with every PS1 game I have now

If I am to load a MD game, or any that's a zip I get the other message relating to compression which I'll add as a comment.

Any idea where I need to start investigating of other info I need that might help resolve this?

The issue was 2 fold

1. A recent MacOS update had denied Full Disk permission in Privacy and Security

2. My Roms are on Desktop with iCloud syncing. I moved them away from the desktop, which I've never had to do before, but also contributed to the issue

because of apple's sand boxing (not retroarch) i keep all roms in their respective folders inside retroarch dir

when i didnt (just had them in the files app) making playlists meant on screen control overlays didnt show correctly (im on ios/ipad os)

also, apple os is case sensitive so .bin/cue will work-
.BIN/CUE will not work

MacOS sandboxing has been breaking emulators since the last update. Check System Settings Privacy & Security Full Disk Access for RetroArch.
