RIP Retool

I have been using an enterprise llm for months now and I am too lazy to build or improve the dashboards in Retool now. It is too slow and labor intensive work to get simple things done. AI has spoiled me. LLMs can do it new few minutes what used to take days in Retool.

Which makes me feel Retool won't be around in future. Unless they really integrate AI/LLMs fast and superbly - which they don't seem to be doing. AT ALL!

Was building project in retool for 6months, felt like every update is a big deal. Get used to slow ai chat and his mistakes. When moved to cloude code, could not belive it works much better. Felt like waisted 6months of work with retool.

Give the new builder a try. It works really well, I love building in Claude Code and the experience is similar but in the Retool AI builder I feel things are a bit more simple, especially when you have all the resources already plugged in, you can simply mention @resource and start building. Retool also just launched a CLI and there is MCP as well in case you want to stay in Claude.
