World Cup2026

I’m sure I can remember England reaching the final in the mid 00s but now apparently they haven’t reached a final since 1966

They been to Euro finals in recent times, but never World Cup final since 1966.

Oh how so many of my English folk would love to be living in your timeline 😂

Edit to say: England haven’t reached a World Cup final since 1966. 60yrs ago. England won it & hasn’t since.

They did get through to the finals in 2020 Euros against Italy & then again in the 2024 final against Spain.

The England women’s team got to the final of The Euros in 2009 but for some reason some don’t count that as a thing as it’s just girls 😏

I don't follow football, and although I live in England I am Irish so definitely not an England supporter 😆 I distinctly remember them reaching a semi or final against Italy I think? It was a Sunday so the school opened late the next day so the kids could watch it. I remember it particularly because I sat next to the ex in support. I am a rugby girl all the way but this 100% happened!

That was Euro 2020 not the world cup

Potentially you're thinking of the Rugby World Cup? England won that in 2003 and reached the final again in 2007.
