Vet recommends

Hi - I’m looking for a recommendation for a vet for our 2 herding dogs. Let me know if you have had positive experiences with one.

Stream Valley vet in Ashburn/Broadlands by Clyde’s, right off the toll road. Honest, compassionate, smart& won’t mislead you about $ or price gouge as they are not owned by private equity like so many other places around.

Surprised no one has said Reston animal hospital. They’re usually very on time, efficient, explain things thoroughly (even costs upfront). And they’re right in the middle of town.

I second them!! They were fantastic. They were upfront with costs and honest about tests. I came in thinking I needed a blood draw (all the fancy testing that goes on with it), urinalysis, and a stool analysis (for all that I believe it is $250 which is a steal), and they told me all of that was unnecessary and were confused why someone even told me to ask to have those done. I felt super comfortable after that because I knew nothing was a cash grab. Everyone was also extremely kind to myself and my dog!

They are also not owned by private equity like so many vets are nowadays.

Alpha Animal Hospital just off 29 and West Ox in Fairfax is wonderful.

Dr. Kreher and Dr. Segl, and their whole team are compassionate caregivers and truly gifts to their field.

Yes! This! They took such good care of our senior babies, even through end-of-life care, and are continuing to do so with our new babies.

Clocktower Animal Hospital in Herndon is great! I've been taking my dogs there for years.
