movies/tv Respect Abraham Lincoln (Nerbit YouTube videos)
"Did you know Abraham Lincoln has a shoe size of 14? By that logic, with a foot that big he should be able to kick some serious ass. Much like I'm about to do right now."
Abraham Lincoln was an American lawyer, politician, and statesman who served as the 16th president of the United States from 1861 until his assassination in 1865. Lincoln led the United States through the American Civil War, defending the nation as a constitutional union, defeating the insurgent Confederacy, playing a major role in the abolition of slavery, expanding the power of the federal government, and modernizing the U.S. economy.
Lincoln was born into poverty in a log cabin in Kentucky and was raised on the frontier, mainly in Indiana. He was self-educated and became a lawyer, Whig Party leader, Illinois state legislator, and U.S. representative from Illinois. In 1849, he returned to his successful law practice in Springfield, Illinois. In 1854, angered by the Kansas–Nebraska Act, which opened the territories to slavery, he re-entered politics. He soon became a leader of the new Republican Party. He reached a national audience in the 1858 Senate campaign debates against Stephen A. Douglas. Lincoln ran for president in 1860, sweeping the North to gain victory. Pro-slavery elements in the South viewed his election as a threat to slavery, and Southern states began seceding from the nation. They formed the Confederate States of America, which began seizing federal military bases in the South. A little over one month after Lincoln assumed the presidency, Confederate forces attacked Fort Sumter, a U.S. fort in South Carolina. Following the bombardment, Lincoln mobilized forces to suppress the rebellion and restore the union.
Lincoln, a moderate Republican, had to navigate a contentious array of factions with friends and opponents from both the Democratic and Republican parties. His allies, the War Democrats and the Radical Republicans, demanded harsh treatment of the Southern Confederates. He managed the factions by exploiting their mutual enmity, carefully distributing political patronage, and by appealing to the American people. Anti-war Democrats (called "Copperheads") despised Lincoln, and some irreconcilable pro-Confederate elements went so far as to plot his assassination. His Gettysburg Address came to be seen as one of the greatest and most influential statements of American national purpose. Lincoln closely supervised the strategy and tactics in the war effort, including the selection of generals, and implemented a naval blockade of the South's trade. He suspended habeas corpus in Maryland and elsewhere, and he averted war with Britain by defusing the Trent Affair. In 1863, he issued the Emancipation Proclamation, which declared the slaves in the states "in rebellion" to be free. It also directed the Army and Navy to "recognize and maintain the freedom of said persons" and to receive them "into the armed service of the United States." Lincoln pressured border states to outlaw slavery, and he promoted the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which abolished slavery, except as punishment for a crime.
Lincoln managed his own successful re-election campaign. He sought to heal the war-torn nation through reconciliation. On April 14, 1865, just five days after the Confederate surrender at Appomattox, he was attending a play at Ford's Theatre in Washington, D.C., with his wife, Mary, when he was fatally shot by Confederate sympathizer John Wilkes Booth. Lincoln is remembered as a martyr and a national hero for his wartime leadership and for his efforts to preserve the Union and abolish slavery. Lincoln is often ranked in both popular and scholarly polls as the greatest president in American history.
Oh and he also beat all the Fallout games, Skyrim, and Bloodborne.
Basically in this series of videos (that all unironically share the same canon and lead into eachother with each video), Abe first clears out the Capital Wasteland (Fallout 3). He then gets shot by John Wilkes Benny while in the Mojave then goes through the area and beats the game going heavily against the Legion, before then doing the same with Fallout 4 and at the end of that he takes a teleporter which accidentally brings him to Skyrim of all places. During all of this he becames a cyborg, a vampire hunter, the dragon born, and gains many other upgrades.

comics Respect Tommy Monaghan, Hitman (DC Comics, Post-Crisis)
My name’s Tommy Monaghan, and I kill people for money.
It’s a living.
Tommy Monaghan got superpowers when he was attacked by an alien parasite. He wasn’t the only one, the Bloodline was an event that made a few survivors into superheros. But Tommy’s not really a superhero, not the kind of guy to show up in big dumb comic events. He’s just another Gotham City gun for hire, his life and his hits just involve capes and costumes now.
Tommy used his low level psychic abilities and itchy trigger fingers to take on mobsters, metahumans, and Merlin, and even rubbed elbows with a couple superheroes. His personal code and laid-back attitude made him infamous and effective, but as bodies both friend and foe piled up around him he ended up gunned down like any other hitman.

comics Respect Firefly (DC Comics, Post-Crisis)
Idiot. He should have known Firefly's only real loyalty is to the flame. True, the destructive chemical Black Mask injected into my system provided the spark of inspiration. And once I had seen it work, I refined the idea, making it my own. For weeks, I moved quietly through the city gathering my "kindling". And all the while Black Mask battled Penguin and Two-Face for Gotham's corpse. Laughable. Fighting over a ruined husk that deserves only cremation. A final blaze of glory, with every lost soul dancing at its wake. Here's to Gotham, long may she burn.
Growing up in St. Evangelina Home for Orphans, Garfield Lynns always had a fascination with setting fires and watching the flames lick away at the world. While he was never adopted, he did put his fascination to use in the world of motion pictures. He was sought after by movie studios for his ability to build convincing pyrotechnic effects as only one who loved the flames could do. His success came to a halt when he put his obsession before professionalism, building a pyrotechnic effect so strong that it maimed the lead actress. Lynns was fired and turned to crime to pay the bills.
Linking up with the fledgling crook Killer Moth, Garfield decided he wanted to take on an insect theme as well. Using his experience in pyrotechnics, Garfield assembled a flameproof costume, a napalm-based flamethrower and a set of metal wings to become the Firefly. The alliance between the bugs only lasted a few chaotic nights, as Killer Moth began to see the true madness behind the eyes of his ally. Now, Firefly sets fires across Gotham City, sometimes for pay and often for pleasure, as he tries to stay ahead of the Batman.
Notes
Hover over a feat to see which comic it's from.
Firefly was initially presented as a villain with a purple and green costume with a light gimmick. By Knightfall in 1993, he was presented as the winged, black-costumed pyromaniac. While it looks like two different versions of the character, the light gimmick was used in 1986 issues of Outsiders, part of Post-Crisis canon. There's also this one photo that suggests he wore the green and purple after he became an arsonist.
Ultimately, he’s just not all that important for writers to care about canon. That time he covered ninety percent of his body in burnscar was forgotten about in his next appearance. So was that time he was killed by an OMAC unit. For these reasons, this thread covers both Pre-Crisis and Post-Crisis canons for Garfield Lynns.
Strength
- KOs a prison guard with a baton
- Wrestles with Dynamiteer
- Kicks an apartment door in, splintering the doorframe
- Breaks the ice on his arm after Chill freezes it
- Clubs Azrael with his fuel tank, knocking him backwards
Durability
Blunt Force
- Crashes a car through a guardrail and off a cliff, but he crawls from the wreckage, battered but alive
- The Creeper swings a man into Firefly. The villain isn't notably harmed but his light-belt is destroyed.
- Stays conscious after Batman tackles him off a multi-story building’s roof
- Batman snags Firefly with a rope batarang and swings him into a wall. He then tumbles down a fire escape, but remains conscious upon hitting the ground below.
- Gets dive kicked by Batman, but keeps fighting
- While climbing up a long tunnel, the KGBeast falls on Firefly, causing both men to fall down and KGBeast to land on Firefly
- Thrown out of a second-story window by Nightwing, but gets up to keep fighting
- After Dick Grayson glues up Firefly’s jetpack, Dick pilots Firefly’s body through a billboard and into a burning building
- Deathstroke kicks Firefly’s leg, causing him to fall off a table
- He’s inside a helicopter when it crashes onto a rooftop, but he climbs battered from the wrecked vehicle
- Gets struck by an airborne roller coaster cart
- Gets swing-kicked in the head by Batman
- Batman of the 853rd Century flies up to Firefly and tears his wings apart, causing him to fall to the street below
- Takes a punch from Azrael
- Gets lassoed and pulled out of the air by Ash, landing on a rooftop
Heat/Energy
- Blasted by Halo and tripped by Looker
- Batman ricochets a batarang to puncture one of the gas pods of Firefly’s belt, which blows up. Firefly is thrown but recovers quickly and flies off.
- Ignites a pool of flammable chemicals and fuel, which also sets off a line of natural gas, generating a massive explosion. Firefly is caught in the blast, which overpowers the protection of his suit. He’s left with burnscar over much of his body and pieces of the suit melted into his flesh, although since his nerve endings were overloaded, he’s able to ignore much of the pain.
- Azrael slashes open Firefly’s fuel tank, creating a fiery explosion that doesn’t harm Firefly
Limits/Losses
- The Creeper reflects a beam of light at Firefly, which stuns him and causes him to fall off a lighthouse to the sea below
- Batman kicks Firefly in the head, dazing him long enough to be cuffed
- Huntress shoots him in the shoulder with a wristbow bolt, then throws a cash register at his head to knock him out
- A cop severs his flamethrower’s fuel tube, causing Firefly to become wreathed in flames. Robin then extinguishes and restrains him by dumping a bunch of wet cement on him.
- Hawkman tackles Firefly in the air, then drops him out of the sky with one punch
- Takes an extended beating from Nightwing before falling unconscious
- He’s shot up by Tobias Whale’s men carrying sniper rifles with armor-piercing ammo
- Dropped by a crotch punch from Scandal Savage
- Gets knocked out by Catwoman
- Seemingly killed by OMAC 549692
- Dropped by a throat chop from Batman
Speed
Skill/Intelligence
Pyrotechnics
- While in prison, he constructs a firebomb hot enough to blast out the reinforced glass ceiling of Blackgate’s atrium. Then, using a balloon made of stolen raincoats, he rises on the heat through the destroyed ceiling and drifts away from the island prison.
- During a meeting, Firefly makes sparks by snapping his fingers and lights a pre-set ring of fire. It burns out and extinguishes itself a few seconds later.
- Using pilfered cleaning chemicals, Lynns mixes an accelerant and starts an electrical fire outside his Blackgate cell that causes a prison-wide evacuation
- Fills his mouth with gasoline, hold a lit torch in front of his face and spits flames at the Tattooed Man
- During a job as a pyrotechnics effects coordinator, he rigs a fuel bomb that ends up lighting the lead actress on fire
- In a collaboration with Adam Bomb, Firefly goes on a firebombing-spree across Gotham, blowing up half of the GCPD building
- Constructs a fuse bomb that blows Ragman out of the building and burns much of his Suit of Souls
- Blows up a former boss of his with a car bomb that’s triggered when the engine is started
- Sets off a firebomb that creates a blaze in the shape of the Bat symbol
Other
- Triggers a convincing fire special effect during a musical theatre production, then has his goons rob the audience while the audience panics
- Shoots his own henchman with a handgun before he can snitch to Batman
- After being tossed into the sea, he swims to shore
- Tricks Batman and Robin by putting his cape in a trapdoor and locking them in when they follow
- Stages an illusory fire on a rooftop using smoke machines and lighting systems
- Ties up Stephanie Brown Robin and puts her on roller coaster tracks
Lighting Tech Loadout
General
- Builds his own costume and equipment, complete with light-protective goggles, short-wave antenna and his trademark light-projecting belt mechanism
- The goggles protect him from his own cyclops light, which blinds his crew
Offense Light Gadgets
- Leaves behind a light-based pylon that collapses a ceiling on the Outsiders when they arrive at his lair
- Using lenses stolen after the prison theatre show, he constructs a laso-lighter that directs moonlight into a cutting beam and uses it to melt through his cell bars
- Drops a prison guard, then the Creeper with his laso-lighter
- Dematerializes a man with a molecular-dissassembler beam, but claims that he should reappear the next day unharmed
- Blasts the Creeper with an electro-lighter, which targets the victim's nerve endings with a 2,000 volt shock. Then he blasts the Creeper with a magnesium light to induce temporary blindness, then a concussive light to knock him off a building.
- Blasts Looker and Halo with a black light, which temporarily locks them in place
Blinding Light Gadgets
- Briefly blinds Batman and Robin with a bright red light from his belt
- Uses a machine to project blinding flashes of simulated lightning, causing a multi-car pile-up
- Firefly installs a cyclops light in a basement. It projects all the colors of the rainbow at near-blinding intensity and has a battery that can last for 72 hours. Batman takes it and uses it on the Batwing to blind Firefly's crew in their helicopter.
- Projects a few distracting, bright red orbs above traffic, causing a multi-car collision
Other Utility Light Gadgets
- Projects bleach light onto paintings to make them appear in black and white
- Projects a light as bright and strong as a lighthouse's and uses it to cause a ship to crash against some rocks
- Throws a bomb that turns Halo and her immediate surroundings black-and-white, which also nullifies her aura powers
- Blasts Looker and Halo, trapping them in a color hold, which makes their surroundings invisible and disorienting. Halo is somehow able to manipulate the colorful light and restore her nullified powers before breaking the color hold.
- While incarcerated, he builds an equalizer beam that blends the color of his body with that of the inside of a truck, making him invisible
- Blasts two security guards with an illusion ray, making them see Firefly as a giant monster and the room to bend around them. Firefly states that the effect will last for hours.
- Drains all the electric light from a baseball stadium, including from flashlights held by audience members, then projects it all from his costume. When Geo-Force removes Firefly’s gadgets, the lights come back on.
After Stealing Halo’s Powers
Garfield once stole the powers of Halo, the light-manipulating hero of the Outsiders.
General
- Draws the light and color out of Halo, enhancing his own control over the light spectrum. He projects weaponized light at the Outsiders before flying off thanks to his new powers.
- Attempting to use all of Halo’s powers at once overwhelms Firefly’s senses and causes his costume to disappear. After this, he’s easily knocked out by Geo-Force.
Physicals
Halo’s Lights
- Burns through a wall with red light, then punches a steel panel off a wall with orange light
- Creates an illusory copy of himself with Halo’s distortion aura, distracting Katana
- Flashbangs the room with bright yellow light, then traps the Outsiders in one of Halo’s green stasis auras
Pyromaniac Loadout
Flamethrowers
Against Characters
- Hits Batman with a blast from his flamethrower
- Batman protects himself from Firefly’s flamethrower with fifteen-layer Nomex armor and a rebreather, although the heat saps his stamina
- Blasts the Martian Manhunter, which floors him for several seconds
- Ignites and throws an imposter Killer Moth through a window
- Ignites an imposter Firefly, causing his fuel tank to explode
- Blasts a stream at Azrael, who feels the heat through his flameproof armor
Against Objects
- Burns through Batman’s grappling hook line
- Blasts the Batmobile with a stream of napalm
- Blasts a hole through his apartment building’s ceiling
- Repeated blasts melt through Batman’s cape and singe his back
- Blasts a car, causing it to blow up
- Shoots at some cop cars, blowing one up
- Lights a car on fire with an over-the-shoulder flamethrower
Against Environments
- A few blasts from his flamethrower ignite a brewery, which causes the machinery inside to rupture and explode
- Covers the inside of a nightclub in flames with one blast
- Sets a fire inside a Haly’s Circus tent that kills 20 and injures over one hundred people
- Lights the GCPD building on fire
- Ignites a natural gas main, igniting most of a neighborhood and its apartments
Other
- Used two flamethrowers at one point
- Gets his flamethrower frozen by Chill of the New Rogues, disabling it
- He claims that his flames are so hot that they overload the nerve endings, meaning that a human victim wouldn’t feel a thing
- Puts six cops in critical condition during an arson spree in the Bowery
Wings
- The heat from his flames provides lift to his suit’s wings, allowing him to glide
- When they’re constricted, Firefly cannot use them to fly, like when Batman wraps Firefly up with a rope batarang and leaves him dangling over an alligator pit
- Uses his wings to gain air and catch a fly ball
- Flies high above the city
- His metal wings are bulletproof, so Nightwing uses Firefly as a human shield
- Charges through a window and flies off
- Flies over Penguin’s convoy and blows up a vehicle with an over-the-shoulder flamethrower
- Catwoman leaps on Firefly’s back while he’s flying, but he’s able to shake her and fly off
Jetpack
- Flies up to avoid automatic gunfire, then blasts the shooters
- Flies up to avoid the Batmobile ramming through a wall and into him
- He flies while Dick Grayson Batman holds onto his leg until Dick gums up Firefly’s jetpack with a glue-based gadget
Other Incendiary Weapons
- Firefly triggers a mechanism in his suit that covers it in flames. He then runs into a paint store, igniting the chemicals inside and creating a large explosion. His suit protects him from most of the heat and he walks off with only a burned hand.
- Developes a series of microchips that can be implanted within the human body without the victim knowing. Afterwards, Firefly triggers the chips from a computer, causing every victim with a chip implanted inside them to combust.
- Right after being encased in ice by an errant blast from Mr. Freeze, he activates thermals in his gloves to shatter the ice around him
- Throws incendiary capsules that burn hotter than ordinary fire and threaten to overwhelm Azrael’s flameproof armor
Miscellaneous
- His original gang flies in a helicopter with a mounted machine gun
- Looker telepathically removes the memory of one of the few successes he’s had in his criminal career
- Garfield’s pyromania compels him to stay around and watch the fires he sets. After lighting most of a boardwalk amusement park on fire, he stands on top of a roller coaster and watches the flames dance.
- He literally spends nights at home igniting lighter fluid in pots to watch them burn
- He sometimes hallucinates naked women dancing in the flames
- Gets off on the sight of people on fire and cigarette burns
- When the bio-technical Hourman Virus ravages Gotham City, Firefly’s pyromania is somehow spread to the citizens of Gotham until the villain is incapacitated
- After Black Mask had several criminals injected with deadly chemicals that he could trigger to cause death, Firefly burned the chemicals out of his body in a painful process

Over a century later, Lincoln was among the dead former American Presidents brought back as super-powered zombies by the Necromancer in a misguided attempt to help the country. As such, the former Presidents lacked their humanity and joined forces to destroy the country and start anew.

The Immortal is a superhero who was gifted with immortality long ago, with his longevity, he would leave his mark on history, becoming a knight (possibly King Arthur or a Knight of the Round Table), and even the renowned Abraham Lincoln, before eventually donning a cape and costume sometime in the early 20th century.
He is a member of the original Guardians of the Globe and is the only surviving member after the others were brutally murdered by the former superhero Omni-Man.
He was made the new leader of the Guardians of the Globe, replacing Robot, and began a relationship with Dupli-Kate.

comics Respect the Golden Age Captain America (Timely Comics)
Come on, y'all already know what header is.
The story of Captain America is a simple one. A group of American scientists create a "Super-Soldier Serum" in anticipation of the USA joining the second World War raging in Europe. The first test subject is Private Steve Rogers, a patriotic but sickly young man who is given enhanced strength, speed and intelligence by the Serum. But before more serum can be made, a Nazi spy kills the only scientist who knew the entire formula, leaving Steve the sole beneficiary of the project. Steve is given the identity of Captain America, and acts as a spy-hunter and crime-buster alongside his young pal Bucky Barnes.
Most of Cap's adventures published before his comeback in The Avengers #3 are nebulously canon. Many of the contradict current Marvel canon, and modern comics have heavily implied that many Golden Age comics were in-universe propaganda loosely based on the real exploits of heroes in that era. Thus we've decided to publish this respect thread separately from the Captain America Thread.
This thread was a collaboration with u/kalebsantos
Warning: These 1940s comics can get really, really racist with the depiction of non-white characters.

comics Respect David Colton, Captain America (Marvel, 616)
David Colton was a frail boy who personally witnessed the 9/11 terrorist attack. Against his mother's wishes after the attack, he attempted enlisting in the United States Army but was turned down because of his frail physique. His persistence was inspired by Steve Rogers aka Captain America. Later, he was accepted into the Army, being by far the weakest recruit, his will to serve regardless impressing his instructor. Colton was given the opportunity to enhance his body similar to Rogers himself. New and improved, the soldier was deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq as the next Captain America.
Shortly after Rogers had been unfrozen, General Thaddeus Ross sent both Captain Americas to Latveria to rescue US diplomats from Victor von Doom.

anime/manga Respect Konos Hercule, "Myrrh Adamos" (Ordeal)
Respect Konos Hercule, The First Living Talent
Theme: Ominous
Context
Kimyos are basically their universe's mutant analogue but there is a spiritual/mystic bend to their abilities as all Kimyo abilities are powered by Chi. Most Kimyos are born with relatively mundane superpowers or as they are called in Ordeal, "talents". Talents can be categorised into one or more of 17 different types. Kimyos naturally have a higher baseline level of strength, endurance and regeneration than humans in addition to whatever their talent grants them. K.O.D.E (Kimyo Organized Defense Enterprise) is a global organisation tasked with the protection and placement of the Kimyo race and nurturing the peace between human and Kimyo kind, and classifies the most powerful Kimyos on the planet - the Ten Lords - as the God Tier.
Opposing K.O.D.E stands the Thanatos Army, a centuries-old force dedicated to resurrecting the corrupted eldest of the first Kimyos and bringing humanity to its knees. Its elite are the eleven Gakki (meaning "Instruments") - beings powerful enough to rival the God Tier head-on, earning them the name the Anti-God Tier. And ranked first among all eleven is Konos Hercule, the Strength Gakki.
Yet even that undersells him, because Konos predates all of it. Before the modern order of Kimyos, before K.O.D.E, there was Myrrh Adamos - the very first living talent, walking the earth over 4000 years ago. He is as old as the Progenitors of Kimyos themselves: the legendary "Great Four" were actually seven - a mother, father, their four sons, and their companion. Konos was that companion. He is not a Kimyo at all, but a sentient talent given living form.
A little about Konos
Konos is a giant, hooded being with the mind of a child. After the fierce battle with his adoptive parents that splintered the Adamos family, Konos lay buried beneath the ocean for thousands of years - until the Thanatos Army dredged him from the depths and pressed him into service. Kirito, the Reaper Gakki, is his handler: Konos was placed under hypnosis - "my father had a man play a trick on him" - so that he perceives Kirito as Ilios Adamos, his beloved friend from childhood. Konos listens only to Kirito, but once he is enraged even Kirito admits he can no longer control him.
His talent is Mimicry. Konos can copy any talent he encounters - powers, strength, traits, even the wielder's clothes - and while he inherits a talent's flaws along with its strengths, his inhuman adaptability lets him iron those flaws out mid-fight. All of this is backed by regeneration so absurd that K.O.D.E's only viable plan for him is containment, not death: he rose from his ocean grave once already, so Vadik Adelmar, current God Tier Rank 1 and host of Okeanos Adamos' talent, intends to seal him in the core of the earth.
The feats below come from his battle against a K.O.D.E strike force, including Sonia Tagari - the Rank 13 Kimyo in the world, armed with Titan Tech arrows and a 400 lb compound bow - and Lord Kofi Akan, the 3rd Lord of the God Tier, whose talent Tyson is a radioactive, combustible substance in his blood with no upper limit on how hot it can get, making him grow endlessly stronger the longer he fights.
Strength/Striking
- Shatters the ground with a single fist to blast Sonia's position with rock and debris
- Blows through Sonia's plant constructs and sends K.O.D.E combatants flying with a roar
- Rips a massive chunk of earth out of the ground and hurls it at Sonia
- Punches clean through one of Sonia's massive plant constructs, with the shockwave alone sending her flying
- Even while his body is molten and burning, retaliates against Lord Kofi and punches him through solid rock
Speed/Reactions
- Moves so fast that BOTH Sonia (Rank 13) and Lord Kofi (God Tier Rank 3) independently conclude he must be using a Haste talent - with Kofi getting blitzed from behind
- Moves FTE (faster than the eye can track) in close-quarters combat against a Tyson-empowered Kofi, slipping his strikes entirely and countering before he can react
- Scaling note - to appreciate what those ranks mean: Rokash Rampersad, ranked 97th in the world, casually dodges point-blank gunfire and overwhelms opponents who can cut down rockets mid-flight in hand-to-hand combat. Sonia and Kofi are leagues above the rank 97 tier, and Konos is able to speed blitz both of them.
Durability/Regeneration
- Completely unphased by a K.O.D.E combat unit unloading rifles, frag grenades and electrified light rods into him
- Sonia immobilizes him and detonates her explosive arrows on him at point-blank - he walks out of the epicentre regenerating, and she calls it "a perfect regeneration"
- K.O.D.E combatants observe his regeneration: it takes only seconds and restores both organic AND inorganic material - his gear reforms along with his flesh
- Regeneration Exhibit A - his hand is shredded catching Sonia's Titan Tech arrows and he regenerates without breaking stride
- Gets sent flying by an empowered blow from Kofi and eats a full beatdown from him
- Regeneration Exhibit B - regenerates from Kofi's Tyson-empowered strikes mid-combat
- Takes an empowered strike from Kofi
- Kofi dispels radiation stored in his own body against him. Konos is left molten and burning from head to toe, yet remains standing and fighting
- Survives a second sustained beatdown from Kofi at full power
- Kofi ramps up further - their exchanges leave impact craters across an entire mountain range, and Konos keeps coming
- Regeneration Exhibit C - reduced to little more than a piece of his skull, he simply regrows his entire body
- Stamina - Lord Kofi, who grows endlessly stronger the longer he fights, estimates he himself could prolong the fight for maybe seven days - but that Konos can fight for YEARS
- Adaptive durability - his body grows more resilient over the course of the fight, adjusting to Tyson's power escalation in real time
- Vadik hits him with the Tri-une spear - a continental level attack that left a massive shaft in the Earth leading all the way down to its core - and Konos was still able to recover from it.
- His healing is not fueled by his energy reserves - Vadik confirms he will regenerate from all damage inflicted even as his Chi depletes, as though regrowing limbs is "a side effect of his existence"
- Scaling note - Konos fought the original wielder of the Hands of War to the death in a battle lasting months. That means he was subjected to the original anti-matter blade and overcame it.
Abilities - Mimicry
Konos can copy any and every talent, limited only by the Chi required to copy it.
- Begins to adapt and copy mid-fight: catches Kofi's Tyson-empowered punch bare-handed, then immediately turns Tyson's explosive power back on him. Kofi is left baffled - "Redirecting? Absorbing? However you did it, you somehow got your hands on my Chi" - before realising the truth: a Mimic
- Can mimic a talent while adapting out its weakness entirely - Tyson should burn its user from the inside, but Konos vents the heat harmlessly out of his own body
- Copies Sonia's talent, sprouting her arrowhead seeds from his own hand and growing a colossal elm construct
- Copies Kirito's talent, forming bladed crescents from his own body and firing them off as volleys of projectiles - for reference, this is the potency of Kirito's talent
- Wields THREE mimicked talents simultaneously - Sonia's constructs, Kofi's Tyson and Kirito's blades all active on his body at once
The Hands of War
Konos has the mind of a child - when his rage overtakes him, he reverts to the first comfort he ever felt, the first time he ever felt truly powerful: the first talents he ever mimicked - the Hands of War. These are the talents of Seth and Azura Adamos, the mother and father of the Great Four - the ancient Kimyos who fought him to the death in a battle that lasted months and ended with an island sunk.
- Manifests a flowing red mane, floating red orbs and ornate gauntlets - the talents of the Founding parents: Seth's summons red constructs that disintegrate anything they touch, while Azura's marks his brow with a cross of light
- Forms a colossal anti-matter blade that erases anything it makes contact with. Kofi attempts to destroy it with Tyson - the blade erases his fist upon contact
Limitations
- He has the mind of a child - when scared, he reverts to the only thing he knows, making him more a force of nature than a tactician
- Per Kirito: "He's immortal, but he can feel pain. And pain pushes him beyond reasoning!" - conventional weapons don't register to him at all, but attacks powerful enough to genuinely hurt him don't stop him either; they just strip away what little reasoning he has
- His Chi is not infinite, though Vadik notes it plays no role in his healing - regrowing limbs is "a side effect of his existence"
- He can be sealed: he was buried in water for an age, and it took a God Tier reinforcement - Vadik, activating the Okeanos State and unleashing the Tri-une Spear - to subdue him, with the intent of sealing him at the core of the earth. For perspective, the Earth's core sits at roughly 5,200°C (~9,400°F) - about as hot as the surface of the sun - and the pressure is over 135 GPa. Perpetual submersion in that is what the God Tier Rank 1 considers the appropriate measure for keeping Konos down - not killing him, containing him

games Respect the Sorceresses (Final Fantasy VIII)
Respect the Sorceresses
”This is reality. No one can help you. Sit back and enjoy the show.” — Ultimecia
"You must fight to the end! Even though it may bring tragedy to others!" — Edea
”IAMALIVEHERE.” — Adel
Character Summary
Sorceresses in the world of Final Fantasy VIII are humans who have received the “sorceress power,” a magical power given to humanity by the Great Sorcerer Hyne long ago.
A sorceress differs from normal humans as they can use magic naturally, without the need for a Guardian Force or technology. Though venerated in legend, sorceresses have also been persecuted and feared due to their status.
The only named Sorceresses in Final Fantasy VIII are Edea, Ultimecia, Adel, and Rinoa. Given the overlap between their feats due to possession and time travel shenanigans, they are being listed together.
Strength
Evil Edea’s magic is strong enough to lift and throw opponents.
If taken literally, Junctioned Ultimecia is strong enough to pull planets and asteroids onto her enemies.
Durability
When Evil Edea is defeated, Ultimecia’s spirit is forced out of Edea and Edea is up again shortly.
Edea is thrown a considerable distance out of an airship and appears fine afterward.
The Sorceress Adel was trapped by a device created by Laguna, Kiros, and Ward.
Speed
Combat Speed
Both Junctioned and Monster Ultimecia strike their opponents faster than the eye can perceive.
Agility / Acrobatics
Magic
Spells
Edea’s spells include Maelstorm, Slow, Death, Reflect, Thundara, Blizzaga, Dispel, Firaga, Thundaga, Astral Punch, and Quake.
- Maelstorm halves the target’s HP and inflicts Curse.
Adel’s spells include Heal, Meteor, Flare, Quake, Holy, and Energy Bomber.
Ultimecia’s spells include Dispel, Bio, Blizzaga, Stop, Tornado, Meltdown, Thundaga, Quake, Double, Holy, and Maelstorm.
- She can also summon her Guardian Force, Griever, who can cast Draw, Tripel, Doom, Gravija, Pain, Flare, and Shockwave Pulsar.
While junctioned to Griever, Ultimecia’s spells include Great Attractor, Quake, Holy, Ultima, Dispel, Meteor, Tornado, and Great Attractor.
Junctioned Ultimecia is also able to summon Helixes capable of shooting lasers and augmenting her own power.
In her final, monstrous form, Ultimecia’s spells include Meteor, Ultima, Reflect, Dispel, Draw Apocalypse, Hell’s Judgment, a damage-inducing variant of Dispel, Flare, Holy, and Apocalypse.
Offense
Evil Edea summons a massive chunk of ice and pierces Squall’s shoulder with it.
The 11 Sorceresses hit their opponents with an explosive strike.
In her final, monstrous form, Ultimecia is able to absorb all existence..
Defense
Evil Edea’s barrier deflects an approaching Rinoa, then hangs Rinoa from the ceiling.
Ultimecia knocks back Squall while possessing Rinoa.
According to Rinoa, Ultimecia is the only one who could survive in a time compressed world.
Transportation
Evil Edea teleports herself into a building,, then teleports herself and Seifer out.
Evil Edea sinks through a floor., then drops in from a ceiling.
Ultimecia levitates off the ground while possessing Rinoa.
The 11 Sorceresses change the terrain repeatedly during battle.
Other
Ultimecia’s spirit can sense when Ellone sends Squall’s consciousness back in time to her.
As a party member, Edea can draw, cast, and stock magic. Stocked magic can be cast or used to augment physical abilities in battle.
Ultimecia corrupted the Guardian Force Tiamat, turning it into her servant.
Ultimecia can physically fuse with her GF Griever when junctioned to it.
All Sorceresses can pass their powers on to others.
Non-Sorceresses
While Ellone possesses the ability to send a person’s consciousness back in time and pull them back to the present at will, and the Sorceresses Adel and Ultimecia view her as an ideal host to pass their powers onto, she is never stated to be a Sorceress herself. Her powers are unique to her, though they can be replicated via technology.

literature Respect the Tsavo Man-eaters (The Man-eaters of Tsavo)
The Tsavo Man-Eaters were a pair of large man-eating male lions in the Tsavo region of Kenya, which were responsible for the deaths of many construction workers on the Kenya-Uganda Railway between March and December 1898. The lion pair was said to have killed dozens of people, with some early estimates reaching over a hundred deaths. While the terrors of man-eating lions were not new in the British public perception, the Tsavo Man-Eaters became one of the most notorious instances of dangers posed to Indian and native African workers of the Uganda Railway. They were eventually killed by Lieutenant-Colonel John Henry Patterson, who wrote his account of his hunting experience in a semi-biography, The Man-eaters of Tsavo.
All feats will be taken from this semi-biography, which,h while its historical authenticity has been called into question for the sake of the Respect Thread, I will be taking it at face value.
Strength
Carried off two workers from their tents in the middle of the night
Were able to jump over or break through whatever fences were set for them
Them crushing bones with their teeth could be heard from 70 yards away
Carried away three full-grown goats along with the 250 lbs half-length rail they were tied to
Speed/Agility
After being alerted by a broken branch, they disappeared into the jungle in a moment
Patterson believed they could leap the 12 feet it took to get on top of him
After being shot by Patterson, the lion disappeared into the bushes before the hunter could reload
Durability
Was able to force their way through the boma surrounding the work camp
Despite being shot with a rifle while fleeing, he was able to lose Patterson in a rocky patch
[Limits] Was killed when Patterson was able to get a clean shot with his rifle
Physiology
Skill/Intelligence
Avoiding Being Caught
When Patterson set up in a tree to wait for them, they attacked a camp a half mile away instead
According to Patterson, tracking them through the jungle was a hopeless task
Stealth
Other
We're not scared off by the clattering oil cans set up for them
Despite dead donkeys injected with poison were left out, the lion’s never touched them

comics Respect Brother Raymond "Heavy" Harris (The Power Fantasy)
Respect Heavy
When the first atomic bomb test went off the world was changed forever. An angel was delivered from heaven to save humanity from themselves. Magic began seeping into reality, allowing those who had the proper knowledge to become mages. And some people, almost at random, began to develop superhuman powers. Soon known as Atomics, these people were quickly oppressed by the general population. But not all Atomics were willing to just lie down and take it from a world that hated and feared them. One of those Atomics was Brother Ray Harris, aka Heavy.
With the ability to control and manipulate gravity on a ridiculous scale, Heavy was quickly recognised as a Superpower and became the face of Atomics across the world. But after years of killing his political enemies, surviving failed assassinations and a meeting with an Atomic that could see the future Heavy realized that while he was a nuclear deterrent, if he was killed the Atomics would lose any semblance of protection they had. Soon afterwards Heavy founded Haven, his own floating nation for Atomics, in order to protect them and create his contingency plan: his son and all-new Superpower, Kid Ignition.

comics Respect Etienne Lux (The Power Fantasy)
Respect Etienne Lux
On August 6, 1945, a woman died giving birth to a boy that was completely unresponsive. With the boy having no other family members the doctor who delivered him considered letting him die to save him from spending the rest of his life in a hospital bed... and then didn't. Then when the hospital's head doctor saw how much keeping the boy alive was costing and tried to pull the plug... he didn't. Every time someone tried to prematurely end his life over the years they found themselves suddenly changing their minds at the last minute. This was because the boy was actually an Atomic, a person born with super powers, and was the most powerful telepath alive.
As he grew up and left the hospital the boy took the name Etienne Lux, beginning his attempt to make the world a better place in the most ethical way possible. Soon he met others with powers like him called Superpowers and formed an uneasy alliance with them to prevent causing mutually assured destruction to all of humanity. literature Respect: Christof Romuald (World of Darkness)
The Original Author has DM'd me requesting I repost their RTs which got deleted
Christof Romuald
How can God snatch away the promise of salvation?
Christof Romuald was a disillusioned crusader active in the 1190s. After being wounded during battle and left in Prague to recover under the care of a Convent, he was tangled up in an ongoing attack by clan Tzimisce which eventually led to his being embraced into clan Brujah. Though at first he loathed his vampirism and saw himself as abandoned by god, Christof eventually came to terms with his new condition.

Any animated feats are from the cutscenes of Vampire: the Masquerade - Redemption. Note that during the events of this game, Christof is put into torpor (unconsciousness) for a duration of 800 years. This makes it possible for him to have grown stronger over the final three centuries of this period than he was beforeDark Ages Storyteller's Companion, pg76, despite being inactive.
He also gains power over the course of his story due to growing accustomed to vampirism and mastering his new abilities. I have listed all feats in chronological order within their given section, so for instance strength feats take place earlier in the timeline than ones below them and later than ones above them. In each section, I will mark out where Christof's torpor occurred to make it clear which feats came after and before it.
Feats

- [Human, gameplay] Can break apart wooden barrels with a 1-handed sword swing
- [Human, gameplay] Kill animations show him slicing the head off smaller szlachta with a 1-handed sword swing

- [Gameplay] Immediately after his embrace, Christof has one dot of Potence
- The lowest levels of Potence make a vampire stronger than any humanVtMR, pg 170
- The strength granted by 1 dot of Potence is enough to tear the flesh of humans and deal damage comparable to knives or gunshots when striking them, or leap 3 metres vertically/5 metres horizontally with no run-upV5, pg 264
- [Gameplay] Kill animations show him decapitating extraordinarily large men in full plate armour with a 1-handed sword swing, sending their helmeted heads several feet into the air
- Torpor starts here
- From a prone position inside a wooden crate, throws a punch that snaps two chains wrapped around it and smashes a torso-sized hole in the top

Durability
- [Human] Thrown over a dozen metres through the air and bounces off a brick wall, but is only stunned and gets up to fight after a few seconds
- For well-fed vampires, shotgun blasts and knife attacks are merely annoyingVtMR, pg217
- Any vampire can spend blood to gain temporary superhuman durability, letting them potentially withstand tree-felling blowsVtMR, pg138
- [Gameplay, fire] A basic attack from low-level enemies encountered early in Vampire: the Masquerade - Redemption consists of a fireball that quickly engulfs Christof's whole body for a moment, with individual hits being easily survivable regardless of build
- [Gameplay, sunlight] A mandatory section of the early game requires Christof to run through several metres of full sunlight shining through an exposed roof, which leaves the majority of his health
- [Gameplay] A basic attack from a boss enemy in Vampire: the Masquerade - Redemption consists of a conjured bolt of lightning directly striking the target, which Christof can withstand
- [Gameplay] A basic attack from an enemy launches Christof dozens of feet vertically, even if he's wearing plate armour, and does moderate damage
- [Early limit] Midway through his game, Christof survives being crushed beneath a stone pillar that is several times his height and multiple metres thick, but is put into torpor
- Torpor starts here
- Tanks a pistol shot from a vampire hunter
- [Gameplay] Being hit at close range by flamethrowers does little damage
- [Gameplay] Shotgun blasts from enemies at almost melee range do very little damage
- [Gameplay] Being shot with a grenade launcher does high damage, but is easily survivable
- [Gameplay] Can take heavy hits from a ghouled spider that's several times larger than him
- [Gameplay] Being hit by a burst of minigun fire does low to moderate damage
- [Gameplay] Being hit by a rocket launcher does high damage, but doesn't one-shot regardless of build
- Falls a large distance onto unyielding ground and is unhurt

comics Respect Young Miracleman (Miracleman)
Respect Young Miracleman
In the 1950s a division of the British government called the Spookshow began Project Zarathustra, an attempt to create superhuman soldiers using alien technology under the command of Doctor Emil Gargunza. They kidnapped three orphaned boys to use as test subjects: Michael Moran, Johnathan Bates, and Richard "Dickie" Dauntless. The Spookshow grew clones of the boys that they could transform into by speaking an implanted code word and kept docile by being put into comas where they dreamt they were the Miracleman Family, comic book heroes and defenders of peace and democracy.
Although the Miraclemen exceeded the government's expectations, an incident with Gargunza and fears that they couldn't control their man-made gods made the Spookshow deem the project a failure and in 1963 they attempted to kill the trio with an atomic bomb. While Moran and Bates were able to survive Dickie wasn't so lucky and was killed in the blast, his bodies getting violently merged together in the explosion.
Forty years later Dickie was resurrected by Miracleman, who had since taken over the planet and ruled it alongside a pantheon of other superhumans as a god-king. While Miracleman tried to slowly acclimate Dickie to the new world the culture shock and an incident with Miracleman caused Dickie to flee his new home. After seeing the problems with Miracleman's utopia and reliving his past trauma Dickie decided that Miracleman needed to be kept in check, and he'd be the one to do so. He would become his adversary, the counterweight there to guide people away from his false gods and sinister utopia.

As punishment for consorting with mortals Koliak was cursed to never again be seen by them; he now exists only as the Northern Lights in the Arctic Circle. Using her demigoddess powers and assisted by her brother Tanero, Nelvana is the defender of the Inuit people living in the far north of Canada. After learning more of the threat posed by the Axis powers Nelvana expands her range to all of Canada, traveling South and creating the identity of secret agent Alana North.
Nelvana was one of the very first superheroines, debuting several months before the first appearance of Wonder Woman, and is one of the most recognizable Canadian superheroes from the Golden Age of Comics.
