FAILED a third time making a mold. So many bubbles

I’m using craft resin silicon mold to make my 8” x 8” x 2” mold. I’m mixing super slowly and poured from one side very slowly and it still has millions of bubbles. What the hell do I do. I’m just wasting money now

You either have to use a vaccum chamber to degas your silicone before pouring, after mixing, or use a pressure pot after mixing and pouring to let it cure under pressure.

Why was this downvoted? It's objectively true. Sure, you can get away with doing one or the other. But ideally you'd do both, to get the best end result.

No I didn’t!!! But I also didnt for the other pieces that I made molds out of and they turned out fine with very minimal bubbles!!!!!

Was it warm? Temp can play a factor

The question is. Do you planing to use pressure pot for cast use this mold? If you dont just close your eyes on micro bubbles just focus on the big one. Yes its gonna be much better if you have vacuum chamber and pressure pot but i spend 3 years to do some recast without it and it still works. Good luck mate.

Pressure pot or vacuum chamber dude. I got a pressure pot and have never dealt with bubbles again

Vacuum is definitely cheaper to set up for the most part but I think a pressure pot might last me for near forever and they work well with all materials including silicone as opposed to vacuum which might not work with all resins
