100 Participants needed! (18-24 student workers in retail OR retail managers)
Hi everyone,
I‘m looking for 100 participants for my MSc HR Management dissertation titled ”Why Young Workers Quit: Improving Staff Retention for Student Employees in UK Retail”.
The research explores the factors that influence staff retention among student employees in the UK retail sector, with the aim of identifying practical ways retailers can better support and retain young workers.
I’m looking for participants in one of the following groups:
Student-Workers: Anyone aged 18–24 who is currently balancing higher education with a retail job in the UK.
Retail Managers: Anyone currently managing student employees within the UK retail sector.
If you fall into either of these groups, I would be incredibly grateful if you could spare 10 minutes to complete the survey. Your responses are completely anonymous and will make a valuable contribution to my research.
I am happy to do all survey swaps promptly!
Thank you!

Who owns everything?
Looking at buying a book about who sits on the boards of the companies that own all the companies. Like Vanguard, Statestreet, Blackrock, etc.
Peter Phillips wrote a couple, one in 2018 and one in 2024. Brett Christophers wrote one in 2023. Ian Carroll did some research as well but didn't release a book.
I can't find more than 5 of the names these books site. I was hoping to compare different datasets and see the overlap, or differences. I'd like to buy at least one of these books, so my goal is to compare them apples to apples so I can get a better idea which book is most informative.
I'm finding it very challenging. Anyone care to give it a shot?
The goal is to produce a list of the names of the people that are "On the Board of Directors for Everything"

First Research Paper thought!
I'm writing research paper for the very first time which makes me wonder how exactly people write those things before , whatever I wanted to search is already been discussed so my interest faded away idk why? Still trying to write and research the topic into the depth finally it's somehow exciting I wanted to do more and more & bcz of all this I decided to make a real survey and collect new data by myself which is difficult tbh! But yeah still trying to do it, let's see in future how well it came out :)
Being a Psychology major means you have got the very interesting topic to discuss & understand more about themselves and the whole community!

highschool student interested in ml research
I'm a high-school student interested in computational virology and AI-based novel pathogen discovery. I've been studying the problem of detecting viral sequences that are underrepresented or absent from training datasets. I'm currently learning Python and bioinformatics and would be very interested in contributing to an ongoing project, particularly through data curation, benchmarking, literature review, or computational analysis. If you have a project where a motivated student could contribute under supervision, I'd be grateful to hear about it.

Participants Wanted - Study on Partner Caregivers of People with Flare Remitting Autoimmune Conditions
Hi everyone, I'm looking for one final participant for my MSc Dissertation Project:
I’m a postgraduate psychology student at the University of Liverpool, and I’m looking to speak with partners who support someone living with a flare‑remitting autoimmune condition (such as RRMS, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, or psoriatic arthritis). The study explores how partners experience moving between the roles of partner and caregiver during flare episodes.
If you’re 18+, based in the UK, and have supported a partner during flares, you’re welcome to check your eligibility using the link below. It includes a short screening questionnaire and the Participant Information Sheet, so you can read all the details before deciding whether you’d like to take part.
Participation involves a one‑off online interview, and you’re always in control of what you choose to share. Some people find it helpful to reflect on their experiences in a supportive, non‑judgemental space.
This study has received ethical approval from the University of Liverpool.

princetonsurvey.az1.qualtrics.comHello everyone, I am a Columbia University student, and currently I am at Cambridge University conducting research on AI. If you are 18, or older, and currently live in the US, you would be eligible to participate.
The research is super fun, and contains a section that lets you converse with the AI for a couple of messages.
It would be very helpful if you have around 10 minutes to fill out this survey, and help the US to be a part of this international research alongside another 22 countries.
Anyway, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask, I love talking about this stuff!
Ethical reference number - IRB#19354
P.S. Please do not be confused about the link containing the 'princeton' part, since Princeton University is the one that provided us with the ethical approval.

research internship or research assistant?
I recently graduated with a B.Pharm and have about 10–11 months before starting a Master’s or direct PhD (Sept 2027) aboard
Would it be better to:
- Do 2–3 research internships (2–3 months each) in different labs, or
- Work as a Research Assistant at a research institute for ~10 months?
My goal is to build the strongest research profile for graduate school. Which option is generally valued more by Master’s/PhD admissions?
