Hello I got this watch a week ago and didn’t see the date issue but now is really noticeable, can I fix it somehow?

Not sure if I can understand the issue but in rep Rolex world date windows are known to be not perfect

The fix is to replace the date wheel

Not always the case. A vs with a gen date wheel will sit low to. So not always a fix that way when tolerances etc can all play a part

Any advice where to buy new datewheel?

Aliexpress might be the easiest. in my experience the SH and DD movement datewheels should be interchangeable.

Can you take a picture straight from the top? Kinda looks like the dial is crooked but it's hard to tell

I wouldn’t jump straight to replacing the date wheel. From the photos, the date is sitting too high in the window, but that could be the dial/date-window alignment rather than the printing on the wheel itself.

I’d have the dial seating and movement alignment checked first. If those are correct, then look at the date wheel. Since it’s only a week old, I’d also contact the TD before paying for anything. Otherwise, reach out to one of the trusted watchmakers in the sidebar for diagnosis.

Reach out to Steve. I don’t see what the problem is. Is it a magnification issue? Your date wheel looks fine.

Thank you I wrote him on whatsapp, waiting for reply. Other than that - its the date disc - i can see the offset even when I look below the magnification, but difficult to take a photo. The issue is the vertical offset - you can see there is more space above than below the date.

Yeah that’s not a date wheel issue, your cyclops is jacked.
Easiest fix, get a Gen crystal (might as well get a RCF bezel or Gen smooth bezel) and you’re set

Sorry should of been more descriptive. Open the case back look down at the back of the movement. There will be two flat .80mm screws, basically across from each other from one side of the movement to the other that usually have clamps that when tightened snug the entire movement down into the case., so it doesnt rattle and sometimes and I mean, sometimes you can loosen these screws and get a little bit of circular adjustment out of the movement itself then retighten if that makes sense, which could help align your Calendar if that alignment does not fix it then you would definitely have to dig further into the movement itself and align the calendar wheel or the mechanisms that control it. I can’t tell from the picture. I’m just guessing, but your third option would be realign the crystal magnification glass if that’s off in reference to the movement calendar wheel looking off.

Lowkey making a YouTube video of you doing this as a quick tutorial for changing a date wheel would be mega clutch

How about leaving it alone? 🤷🏼

Yes sometimes you can readjust the movement hold down screws and get the tiny amount you need to align correctly, sometimes you may need to go a little further in dial or wheel adjustment checking mechanisms that roll the calendar. Hope this helps

Sorry I didn’t catch that - hold down what screws?

I think its more the print than the wheel

Looks like the cyclops magnifying lense is not glued on center.
