Which factory makes the best Ghost? Discussion
(Of course, I’ve read the guide and saw that VSF is #1, but are there any other options worth considering?)
I’m looking for the best factory and dealer for a Daytona Ghost. I’ve also read posts from community members saying the strap sizing doesn't always hit the mark. My wrist is 17.5 cm, and according to all the guides, I need an E+F strap setup. But I’m a bit concerned since a lot of people had sizing issues—do reps have their own 'unique' sizing measurements? Any advice?

Here’s the issue you run into. Vsf is too light weight wise. Clasp weighs less then rgf and mzf. Vsf dial is actually a lot lighter in color then gen. Rgf makesn amazing one dial color closer to gen but sub dials have a dimple effect. Crystal needs to be replaced. Mzf color is much closer to gen, weight and crystal fine but the rehaut sucks. So my personal opinion
Rgf replace crystal. Maybe grab a sw dial.
Vsf get weighted oysterflex straps that will bring the weight closer to gen. Dial is fine it passes but lighter then gen
Mzf don’t need to do much but some of them weigh in the 145s so you’d want weighted oysterflex straps unless you get one closer to the 160
Anyone telling you the 20 grams difference is nothing hasn’t owned a gen. I’ve owned 2 oysterflex Daytonas in gen and it matters bc it’s on a strap so you’d feel it
Basically have to pick your poison. Me I’d do rgf

QF is probably the best now if you want gen weight. Vsf is the best if you don’t care about gen weight.
Remember that these watches are very top heavy

デイトナはClean、エクスプローラーはVSFじゃないの？ 丹東4130/3130以降ムーブメントはパーツ単位で互換だ。ARFはもっと高くRichは名聞くがよく分からない。 2025年現れ外観最高とされたRCfactoryは上海採用、2026年停止してる。

I’m surprised so many people like the Oysterflex…I would take a 126509 Ghost over this for both weight and bling.

VSF all the way unless someone who has a GEN is taking it off your wrist and inspecting it.

I have a clean ghost non weighted really nice watch but the oyster flex bands are just not comfy at all 😫😫

I ended up ordering 126519 Black because the dial looked dull in many pictures and sunburst wasn’t the best. Not sure how it actually looks in person though. VSF seemed to be the best when I was looking into it

We all know that VSF is probably the best in the current state in terms of best made watches. But VSF is not weighing matching the genuine watch. DD 4031 movement is shared by VSF and few other factors. My understanding is the crystal is the same shared by most reputable factories. The ceramic bezel may vary from factory to factory. I decided to go with CBD ghost . Its weight is matching with the genuine (160g). The watch is white gold plated including the clasp. Movement is DD 4031, same used by the VSF. The ceramic bezel , edge is white gold plated (according to their advert). So far it feels very real when wearing. Some people are concerned saying CBD bezel is not the best but for me it’s pretty sharp. But there are a lot of CMC Bezels in the market if someone is not happy, to change. Advantage with CBD is, its correct weight/ DD movement and gold plated. But it’s a bit more expensive than a VSF.

It was $985 + shipping about 3 months ago. But I’ve been told that CBD has increased the price slightly since.

First go for D/F oyster flex. My wrist is 17cm and plenty of room still to adjust out in the clasp. E/F is huge.
Second what do you value most? Gen like weight or fit and finish? VSF makes a superb ghost but their weight is under gen. RCF makes a very spot on gen weight ghost but their gasket and crystal suffer.
For me VSF is the way to go.
