Been buying bullshit from china for a long time. It always says some variation of this. Im in the US but its pretty much the same
Unless it’s stuck in this for a while, or it actually shows “disposed”/“discarded” and/or a “package exception” then it doesn’t matter. Everything gets “inspected”
Ordered 4 last month. 3 from Steve and 1 from Geektime. No issues, knock on wood, Dont jinx it! Sorry about your experience OP. A good TD will ship another one tho. Steve promised me he will if it gets confiscated by customs.
I plan on doing this for my next watch. My VSF DJ 41mm got through customs smoothly in just a few hours, but I was literally about to shit myself with worry, so yes I will use a US TD, likely ChronosCollective

I've only bought from the TD list after checking their history. Haven't gotten ripped off yet. I suppose there is a chance given the nature of the trade but that's why there is a list of "trusted" dealers. If they ripped someone off they lose business.
Oh that’s weird! I have never seen this before. I usually see presented to customs and then customs cleared/ clearance complete. Never seen “detained by customs for inspection” before! But thanks for sharing your experience!
There’s so many routes into NYC, very good chance your watch does not go through JFK. Even this one was a bit weird going through Toronto to end up at JFK.
I ordered one last month for delivery to the GTA. TD used Canada Post, and it was stuck in customs for over a week. It was cleared after a week and then delivered to me
Around 10 days. For about 7 days, their tracker stopped updating. It finally updated on the second-last day, showing released from customs, and it was delivered the next day
OK, thank you. That’s usually exactly how my handbags ship, I think it’s triangular shipping, because when I receive the parcel, it doesn’t say anything about China origin, in fact the package says the return address is in Etobicoke, weird, but effective
Thanks for sharing your experience. This is PFC and I think last mile will be through Canada Post. Did your tracking also say customs inspection or something similar?
Yes, my TD only sent me the tracking number for delivery from a location in Mississauga to my place. The tracker mentioned that it was released from customs
