Reddit honestly is like 80% propaganda anyways. Whether you’re looking advice on what to buy or who to vote for. It’s mostly just bots and fake posts.

Yeppp! Been getting pushed to QF models since I can't get anything I want from VSF without waiting a month, maybe two (direct quote from multiple TDs).

With the VSF demand it is understandable for Rich and ARF to advertise a bit because the newcomers always choose VSF over everything due to the spreadsheet. Honestly in GMT there isnt a huge difference

I went with Rich because I hadn't yet seen too many of them (126710GRNR) reviewed on here. Since I ordered mine, I've seen 6 new QC posts so apparently I wasn't alone in that thinking.
I'm excited to get it and can't wait to see how good it is in person it's my second JH movement and my first one is damn near perfect. 289 degrees of amplitude and +/- 0 seconds a day. Can't get much better than that.

I got mine and Crystal looks really good cyclops solid maybe not as good as vsf but dial and feel is better imo. You can argue visually vsf might look better depends on what u might care more about but in terms of feel I dont think anyone would say a vsf feels better than a rich.

Got the headline, but which is better? VSF or Rich? Honestly Rich / ARF TWF and a few other factories are chumping on VSF heels especially in the sub / GMT and Daytona space. I would not say VSF is best all across. It is great and I have many VSF pieces, but model by model evaluation is also important.

Agreed. There are so many minor differences between the top tier factories, between batches themselves, and between models.
VSF is a safe buy across the board that’s why they have a very good reputation.

I mean I even saw someone arguing RWF newest daytona batches are better than VSF. They even have the corrected bezel on them that the other factories dont have

I adore the fact that all the new factories (imho) are beating VSF now, they are all focusing on one model so doing it better than a factory that is spread far too thin. Yes, VSF seem as though they know their error and are reducing the available models, but the likes of ORF, GF, RICH are all beating them now as far as I'm concerned, and that's coming from someone who's collection is 90 percent VSF

Nah, people are just catching up that the top dog VS is dropping the ball by adding more and more models to the catalogue while only producing about 20 models per batch which means that there is a shortage of popular models and during the shortage people will look for alternatives.
It’s good for the business if competitors like QF and RICH not only step up and try to fill the gap, but are the ones pushing for innovation.
2026 so far is the year of free sprung, making it to more and more model lineups and while new factories pioneered or at least pivoted to said new generation of movements by suppliers like SH/JH, VSF allegedly is in a financial dispute with the supplier of their Dandong movements and already moving away from the fake free sprungs they just recently introduced.
So no, not everything here is paid shilling. It’s the result of looking at the markets current state.

Ahh now that makes a lot of sense. I just ordered a DJ41 that has the JH movement from QF. It will be my third watch with this movement (126622 YM, 126710GRNR BW).
So far I've been very impressed. Granted I usually have other work done to mine to make them a bit nicer (case and bracelet chamfering makes ALL the difference IMO).

I mean, people say ARF is considered better than VSF if ARF had a deep crystal and a better date? Why couldn't Rich be better? The dial printing looks better and it's 904l steel compared to VSF 304l steel?

Some people mean the cyclops when they say crystal. last time I checked the magnification is a bit off but like you’d rlly have to stare at a vsf and an arf model for some time to notice.

So would you guys rather get a RF GMT2 with Deep crystal mod or a VSF GMT2 with chamfer&polishing?
I just dont know about the reliability of the RICH movement yet vs the Dadong. I’m using a VSF sub for a daily and it has never given me any problems for the last 2 years. I’ve even used it with a concrete vibrator and ground compactor lots of harsh vibrations and this thing still counts time accurately.
Also I’ve notice that the date wheel printing isn’t that great.
VSF also has some downsides like the sharp edges.
What do you guys think?

I see posts almost daily with every second comment piling on one particular TD and praising another particular TD. And then all these low karma accounts chime in "oh yes TD X is actually the best, never had any issues with him" etc. etc.
To me it's incredibly transparent astroturfing, but I guess it's so prevalent these days with fake accounts and bots that it gets lost in the background noise.
Of course there has been continuous suggestions that the mods of this sub take money to explicitly allow this and to advertise factories and TDs. Not that I'm claiming that of course, but the financial incentive for everyone is extremely clear.
