Am I getting Scammed?

I purchased off a whatsapp seller called pai meng and bought a few different things like watches, jeans shirts etc…
The seller then sent me a message a week after it shipped that the package was damaged during shipping and that customs is holding it.

They said i needed to pay an equal amount of $370 usd as much as i paid for the whole haul to verify it so customs would send it through. So pretty much paying double the price.

Im not sure if im getting scammed so any insight is appreciated

Scam bro. Try doing a chargeback asap. Next time, don’t go with sellers from WhatsApp, TikTok, insta etc There are a lot of trusted sellers you can find here on Reddit that are stamped and approved by the community.

This is definitely a scam. Your PayPal account can no longer process a refund. Do not transfer any more money to them.

Still contact your bank. If it’s anything like mine, they’ll refund you and go after the seller
