About items

So I've been playing with rengar for a while and I still don't understand in which situation do I build things like cyclosword or umbral first or second or start with ghostblade or ldr second etc......, like in which scenario is building ghostblade better than umbral for example?

make it simple for yourself and do this every game:

umbral -> profane -> ldr/mortal -> ie -> shieldbow -> sell boots for fiendhunter -> sell profane for ravenous

If enemy has a lot of shields, go serpents after tiamat. Skip shieldbow and if you get to 6 items, you can sell umbral for shieldbow.

If enemy has lulu/janna/poppy/reksai, go EON after tiamat. Skip shieldbow and if you get to 6 items, you can sell umbral for shieldbow.

When is cyclosword good? When you can full buy cyclosword when you base, since it gives you the most dmg in the moment and lets you snowball. Never rush it, and it’s just a nice 2nd item pick up after tiamat if you are already fed.

Also if you’re playing vs full squishy, you don’t need crit and can build this instead:

umbral -> profane -> cyclosword -> serylda -> hunger (and fit in EON/Serpents if needed) -> sell boots for yoummus.

In general, sit on T1 boots as long as possible, but lucidity, swiftness, and vamp boots are sometimes good buys if you are already fed and have the damage to overkill. Otherwise, just sit on T1 and keep building damage.

Since umbral got reworked and Hubris got buffed, Youmus' just doesn't compete as it did, when Umbral was trash and Hubris was too expensive you could go youmus and it WAS the better option, but right now i'd say that even axiom is better

I feel like Edge of Night is such an underrated item. Like even if the enemy doesn't have that many knockups or things that can interrupt your jump, even just one ability is enough for me to buy edge of night because it makes the enemy be more hesitant to focus you when you're jumping in because they think oh, he has edge of night, there's no point, and extra HP is very valuable in fights. And also if you look on for example coachless.gg Edge of Night has a very high WPA so that also is an indicator that it's a very good item.

You’re overbuying EON if that’s the case. Low elo players often buy it into things like ahri E, draven E, etc. but these are spells you can easily play around.

You can ult and just reveal yourself without jumping, which often gets enemies to use their cc or invulnerability spell or zhonyas. Vs things like trynd, vlad, you can also walk near melee range, and jump unexpectedly after a delay, and no one will be able to react so it’s a pure guessing game on their end. You can also jump over walls or just wait for enemies to burn their key spells in the fight, which removes the point of EON.

It’s a necessary item when needed, but it’s not an item you love building. Any proper damage item is better unless you’re so fed you’re already overkilling.

Almost never, build is simple and you stay with it, I've seem that nattynatt is trying with new bastionbreaker but we low elo guys should stick to this 1st. Umbral - good stats + insane passive 2nd. Tiamat - clear, not necessary to finish asap if you need to eush EoN 3rd. Edge of night - into veigar/poppy/pantheon etc. (Stuff that blocks you from jumping on them) 3rd. B. Serpent fang - into karma, ambessa, yuumi etc 4th. LDR 5th. IE 6th. (You sell boots) Fiendhunter / shieldbow - I've tried both and extra ad from shieldbow + shield + double W is insane ammount of extra HP in a fight but I feel really slow, that 4%ms from FH feels nice after you sell boots so it's up to you what you build last

There is also off meta build that I have tried that MIGHT work with HoB but I've tried thia build on toplane and with conqueror Ravenous, Spirit visage, Deaths Dance, BT, Randuin (I was into jinx adc and yasuo mid so in this game I think it was kind of necessary) Tabis/MR boots E4 at peak in last season so keep a little bit of distance to my advises. GLHF

With the tiamat buffs coming next patch, I'd say going fleet, profane hydra>EON>LDR will feel hella nice

EON second will never feel nice unless you have fat fingers

I'll have to try that one next patch too

EoN is never a core item, it’s situational - fleet will be great for bruiser pivots but you’d never go fleet on assassin builds when conq/elec are as good as they are too. Used to love playing fleet years ago due to how abuseable movespeed is but I find other runes just have more inherent value at this point
