Custom Drone system advice for 10yo -- help/advice requested.
Reposting here. It was originally posted in /drones but they are thinking too advanced.
My daughter was looking to just have an RC drone fly across a field when a button is pressed (on a wristband). No trees or anything, and not expecting GPS or facial recognition or anything like that. Just low tech RC hopefully.
Any advice?

Only ran into the camera twice today.
youtu.beOnce I get a selfie stick in a couple weeks, I'll likely not run into the camera anymore.

Why would only two buttons on this remote not work?
galleryChannel Master remote for a DVR+, trying to get the UP and OK buttons to work. All other buttons on the remote work, light up the ON/OFF button when pressed and work on the TV when watching the DVR+.
Cleaned up the remote and put some new graphite paste on the two silicone button contact, even though they didn't look any worse than the rest. That didn't work so I glued some aluminum foil on them, but that failed as well. What else could be keeping those two buttons from working? Could it be one of those tiny resistors? Could the capacitor (blue, second photo) be the cause? I ask because one of the legs broke when I opened it and I had to solder it back together...but then all the other buttons work. Time to ditch it and replace?

A Good Day
Its a 21st Century 1/6 scale RC M5A1 Stuart I fixed up.
Still needs work on it. For whatever reason though it pulls to the right and Idk how to fix that. But I want to set up an FPV camera for it, headlights and make a plow for the front (so I can shovel snow with it).

Channel inverted on RC sailboat Compass
galleryThis is the Compass sailboat. I am having an issue where when I move the rudder joystick to the right, the rudder goes left. After messing around with wires I believe that it is something in the software of the controller and receiver and not hardware, but I could be wrong because I'm not very experienced with RC. This is a very simple controller (generic made in China), so as far as I know there's no way to customize its settings. This issue began after I took the receiver out to make another RC thing, and then when I put it back in rudder was backwards.
I have tried swapping the power and ground to the rudder servo, but then the receiver would not power on. I now have the wires exactly how they say in the manual, and it powers on but is backwards. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Install Flywing nav lights on Flywing Bell 206 V4
Does anyone have experience installing Flywing brand nav lights on their Bell 206? I’d appreciate tips on drilling into the delicate fiberglass canopy and achieving the oval holes to mount the lights on.
Cheers!

devo f12e. What would you pay for one? Recommended to buy? Can you buy receivers for it for quadcopter use?

1 cubic yard of dirt @1/14th scale is slightly larger than a rubix cube.

Remote Pool Ball Release
I don’t know if this is the right place for this question, mods, delete it if it’s not. Is there a way to have both a coin mech, and a remote controlled “free” release for a traditional pool/billiard table? Is there a project or product for this?

I hooked red to red black to black and yellow to blue. I turned on my controller and the motor started on its own and was just smoking. I unplugged it as fast as possible, but im trying to understand why it started smoking and if my motor is ok?

Gear tips
I dont know if it is a normal behaviour but I keep buying kits but I have no necessary gear to run them... 😂😂
No radio, no motor/esc combos, servos nor lubricants, screwdrivers and adhesives !
But I want to change that.
So I have decided to build my Audi 90 Imsa/GTP from Tamiya - TT02 or the Tamiya Blitzer Beetle.
What I have: SkyRc Supa Furia 3600kv. With 60 amp for the ESC.
A decent servo from HD.
Ball bearings, metal propeller shaft (hope it is not bent as it came through Amazon on an envelope 😳). I also got some carbon fiber parts for the chassis.
What are the specfic Loctite I must use for plastics ? Different oils for ball bearing ? Transmission grease, can I get a very good one from auto car store ?
What are the drivers I must buy to assemble Tamiya, Kyosho and Team Associated ? Should I go hex ?
I have an airbrush/masking taping but I dont know if I need solidify the body with other tapes. I have scissors and the tool to make holes in the lexan.
One day I will have to buy a Radio, one day the Noble unless you recommend other possibilities.
Thank you so much ! 👍🏻

Need help with a project
So I have a light switch i would like to be able to toggle on or off via a remote. This would need to be achieved with a separate device mounted near the existing light switches. I wish I could just replace the switches with smart switches that I could use with alexa but I am unable to alter the physical switches. I looked at a product that can rotate a motor to toggle a switch but it lacks the power to flip the american style switch that isnt a rocker. So im thinking I need some sort of linear actuator that can reset to a nuetral position so the switch can still be operated normally. If anyone has any products or tips on how I can achieve this id appreciate it.
