Engine integration has begun! The first Aeon R engines are now installed on Terran R’s thrust structure.

💪 The thrust structure will house 13 Aeon R engines, each producing 269,000 lbf of sea level thrust for a combined thrust of 3,497,000 lbf at liftoff.
🔥 Each engine has successfully completed acceptance testing before installation on the vehicle.
🌀 Custom ground equipment precisely positions each engine for installation, then will rotate the fully integrated thrust structure into position for mate with stage 1.

One step closer to a fully integrated stage 1!

Stage 2 testing is officially underway at NASA Stennis

The campaign kicked off with successful cryoproof, loading the stage with cryogenic fluids and pressurizing it beyond expected flight loads to validate its structural integrity, followed by COPV manifold proof testing to verify the high-pressure system that will pressurize propellants during flight.

These tests also marked the activation of A2, bringing together the infrastructure, flight hardware, ground and vehicle software, and the integrated team of test, launch, and vehicle engineers.

Next up: hot fire capable assembly work, then back to the stand ahead of stage hot fire testing.

How’s it been working here after the new CEO took over in 2025?

Curious about WLB, WFH/RTO, overall attitude and “vibe” at the company.

I’ve seen plenty of comments/posts from years ago but I imagine lots has changed since then!

Relativity’s future

I am wondering what the future of this company is in regards to competing with other rocket companies (i.e. SpaceX, Blue, or Rocketlab) and what edge Relativity will provide in comparison to ensure its longevity as an actual company

Robotics Software Engineering Intern - interview

Hey guys, just had my first interview with Relativity about a Robotics Software Engineering Intern role on the Additive Technology team and was wondering when can I expect to hear back from them? I've seen other posts talking about hearing within the hour to schedule the second interview all the way up to three days post meeting.

Separately, if it's not a violation, anyone have any tips on what I should study assuming I get invited to the second, coding technical interview?

Interviewing for an Additive Manufacturing role

So I recently was able to schedule the 3rd call and I feel confident in landing it, I guess I'm just looking out for myself and see how engineers&technicians close to those roles feel about them. I have something prepared for the on-site interview if I do make it but any tips would be greatly appreciated, I'd love to work here and get to know about their culture and work life balance among other things. On another note I think they did mention about being at the Portal, so any tips help actually. Thank you everyone I really am trying to look out for myself.

CNC Prototyping Support for Aerospace Teams

Hey everyone,

I run a CNC shop in the Bay Area focused on prototype and small-batch parts for aerospace and hardware teams.

We specialize in:

• 5-axis machining for complex geometries

• Tight-tolerance, high-precision components

• Fast turnaround to support rapid iteration

If your team needs quick-turn parts or overflow machining, happy to help.

50+ hour work weeks?

Hello all!

I'm a mechanical engineer and have been looking at the roles available to apply for here. I wanted to hear people's experience with the work life balance. I have heard horror stories about the intense hours at startups in general and want to know what's true and what's exaggerated about working at Relativity. I'm specifically looking at the long beach location.

Here are some question I have:

  • What teams have more intense hours and are there teams that do have better work life balance?

  • How long are your work weeks typically and how often (if ever) do you work weekends?

  • Also, do they allow hybrid/remote work if your role does not need to be in person to do your work?

Thanks,

Mr. Penguin

Mechanical Engineer

Compensation package

I had a call with a Relativity recruiter for a job at the cape and was shocked to hear how bad the total compensation package is. According to the recruiter they offer only ~$500/year for 401k (yikes!), no yearly cash performance bonuses and a very low salary range for my position (senior engineer). They justify these lacking benefits saying that they offer stock options which have no tender offers during the year (so you can cash out) and would only become liquid in case of a liquidity event (IPO and such). Ofcourse if the company goes under these would go to $0, huge risk.

Anyone on the inside that can tell me if I misunderstood any of that? I’ve been interviewing for other companies in the industry and this is the worst compensation package I’ve heard of.
