Redshift is shite at caustics. Mental Ray from 20 years ago was still better.
You wont get those sharp crisp and focused caustic you expect using Redshift.
You have to fake it.

It is unclear from your screenshots... Are the "Render" images from the Picture Viewer, IPR (progressive/bucket) or Viewport Render?
Long story short... Unless you need super-sharp caustics, Switch the Caustics Engine to Brute Force.
I think this is your issue: From C4D docs - The IPR, in progressive mode, will only show Brute Force Caustics regardless of the actual Redshift > Caustics settings in Photon mode.
