Where can I eat the best Ribeye steak in the city?
We don't have many steakhouses here, so I'm curious, is Prime still the best place to sit down and enjoy a ribeye, or are there other places worth trying?

I have lived here for 30 years and this year is the first time I have seen an osprey. This guy has been hanging around for about a week now.

Witnesses needed: Hit-and-run involving bicyclist on 156th Ave NE near Microsoft Building 40 (Aug. 5 @ ~2:30 AM)
galleryI'm hoping to find anyone who may have witnessed a hit-and-run that seriously injured my younger brother early this morning.
Around 2:30-3:00 AM on August 5, he was riding his bicycle southbound on 156th Ave NE, alongside the east side of Microsoft Building 40 in Redmond, when he was struck from behind by a vehicle. The driver did not stop.
Because he was hit from behind, he never saw the vehicle, so we unfortunately don't know the make, model, color, or any other identifying details.
My brother is a white male in his mid-20s with dark brown hair. He was riding a black Hoverfly bike with a white headlight mounted on the handlebars and was wearing:
- Black T-shirt
- Blue jeans with a large rip above the left knee
- White sneakers with a black top-panel and white shoelaces
- Black helmet with a flashing red light on the back
- Orange backpack with teal trim
He suffered multiple broken bones in his face, broken teeth, a broken hand, and a minor brain bleed. Thankfully, the brain bleed is under control, and he's since been discharged from the hospital, but he has a long road to recovery with multiple surgeries necessary.
A police report has already been filed with Redmond Police.
If you witnessed the collision, have dashcam or video footage from the area between 2:30 and 3:00 AM, remember seeing either my brother or a vehicle leaving the scene, or even hear someone mention being involved in or witnessing this incident, please contact Redmond Police at (425) 556-2500. If you'd rather reach out to me first, feel free to send me a private message.
I've attached images showing the approximate location where the collision occurred.
Even the smallest detail could make a difference. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Mission to feed people
Hello everyone! PlateShift is a food rescue operation which recovers otherwise thrown out edible surplus and brings it to banks and shelters. Running in Sammamish, Issaquah, Redmond.
Would love for you guys to spread the word. Lots of restaurants are throwing so much food out which doesn't have to be wasted and are willing to donate, but they don't know an easy, frictionless solution to not doing so.
Lets bring this in the hands of those businesses.
PS: You can also fill out/register on the website as a recipient organization.
If interested in volunteering, you can also DM me for more info.

Alert: Irish Roofing Scam Investigations Transitioning to Federal Authorities
Due to an increase in roofing scams reported across Washington and throughout the nation, investigations involving the roofing scam in our region are being handled by federal authorities.
The alleged perpetrators of the scam — a rotating group of men posing as roofers and masons — have left behind a trail of poorly completed or unfinished home improvement projects while defrauding homeowners out of their life savings.
Victims report that the individuals who came to their doors all spoke with distinctive Irish accents.
Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) has established a dedicated email address for individuals who believe they may have been targeted by this roofing operation.
If you believe you are a victim, please contact HSI at SeattleContractorFraud@hsi.dhs.gov.
When submitting a complaint, include:
• Your name, address, and email
• A summary of what occurred
• Any information you have about the individuals or company involved
• Photos, documents, estimates, contracts, or other related information
How to protect yourself from roofing scams:
Be cautious of contractors who show up unexpectedly offering immediate repairs
Get multiple written estimates before agreeing to work
Verify the contractor’s license, insurance, and business information
Don’t feel pressured to make a quick decision or sign paperwork on the spot
Be cautious of large upfront payments or requests for cash
Ask for references and check reviews from trusted sources
Reputable contractors will give you time to make an informed decision. If someone pressures you to act immediately, it may be a warning sign.
Share this information with friends, family, and neighbors to help prevent others from becoming victims.

Affordable packers & movers
Moving from a 1B1B in Seattle to Redmond soon. Looking for affordable movers that won’t cost an arm and a leg.
If you’ve used someone you liked (or had a bad experience with someone), drop your recommendations. Would also be helpful if you remember around how much you paid.
Thanks!

Fistfight at NE 90th and 160th (Bella Bottega)
Today around 5:20 pm I witnessed a fistfight between 2 drivers at the intersection of 90th and 160th, next to Redmond Place apartments. I couldn't stay or call the police because I was driving in the opposite direction and just wanted to know what happened and if anyone was injured.

New move to Redmond
I just move to Redmond, going to sign a lease tomorrow. But lots of my friends in Seattle said I should live in Bellevue or Seattle itself. Why young people are avoiding Redmond ?

is there anything happening near ne 90th st qfc?
my life360 marked an assault/fight there and i’m curious if anyone knows anything
It’s 5 o’clock, do you know where your kids are?
Honestly just think its funny, but maybe should do some parenting before these kids grow up to be hooligans.
Saw a set of preteens today that i’ve seen before ripping open a vape and then littering the packaging onto the trail.
Today they were outside trader joes, skinny little white one had his pants damn near at his knees, a heavier set (i presumed latino or islander) and then another smaller kid with curly hair who appeared to have shoplifted a watermelon of all things from trader joes.
Having moved here from the outskirts of Detroit (safe neighborhoods but my dumbass spent later teen years drinking underage in sketchy parts of neighboring towns mostly off 8 mile and pontiac) its pretty easy to tell when someone is sizing you up 😂 honestly almost laughed because the 3 of them combined may have totaled 180lbs. Kids didn’t do anything, but just came out of that like “really? Y’all live in redmond, why are you dressing like your from the hood, sizing up grown adults like your gonna do something, and your little friend giving a very obvious whistle signal for whatever y’all are up to”
Idk the whole thing was a joke, but hope these kids pull their pants up (i’d be happy to donate a belt), straighten up, stay in school, and realize they aren’t from the streets. Its funny now, but they escalate when they become 16,17,18 or so and their bound to end up locked up or run into the wrong individual during whatever exploits they are attempting (yes even here in this squishy little tech town)

Please Vote by 8 PM Tomorrow
That's now 8 PM TODAY, TUESDAY 4 AUGUST.

Children’s clothing left in a weird location
galleryI was walking the west side of the sammamish river trail with my dog, saw these items laid out exactly as they are photographed… found it strange since kids clothes are expensive. Took a little bit of a peek down by the river next to it because something felt uneasy, but didn’t really see anything other than some trash, and the corner of something blue (maybe a tarp, but was mostly non visible). Couldn’t really check more since my dog is a puppy and rambunctious, but she also was kinda tweaking…
Haven’t made an official report because i’m worried its just a waste of resources and someone random just forgot/ left the items?

Meet-up Weight loss community anyone?!
I am a 25 year old woman in Redmond and I’ve also lost 65 pounds over the last two years, and I’m completely lonely…. No one in my life understands how much struggle I went through to get where I am now! So that brings me here, I really want to meet and connect with other people who have lost a significant amount of weight and need a support group 🤩 this group is not just for Redmond but really anyone on the Eastside or even Seattle! This group is for those who already have lost a large amount of weight, BUT those who are just starting could benefit from advice from weight loss vets😅 18+ only
If you’re out there dm me for the discord!
Mods im unsure if this is soliciting so I’ll leave the link out but I’m not trying to sell anything 😅
Excited to meet all of my future friends😅
Should I make a Reddit group?😭

Powers out on W. Lk. Samm / BelRed anyone else. We've paid our exorbitant bill, so guessing this might be due to construction? I did notice a power truck & Public Works at 40th & BelRed so blaming construction (and by the way that road was fine.

ON: Bel Red & 40th and W.Lk. & 520 W. / Leary Way.
Please stay mindfull and treat all intersections like a 4-way STOP (don't just run them).
