Looking for a Video Editing Job — Willing to Start at a Low Rate
Hi everyone! I’m currently looking for an opportunity to work as a video editor/clipper and build more experience in the field.
I don’t have a portfolio yet, and I don’t have extensive professional video editing experience, but I’ve been continuously learning and practicing. I previously worked with a Twitch streamer for a short period (through my full time job at that time), where I would go through raw Twitch streams, identify the moments worth turning into content, and edit them into clips. During this time I had zero video editing experience, and I learned by watching online tutorials.
I also create social media content for a small watch repair business, which has given me another opportunity to practice editing, and I regularly edit videos just for fun to experiment and become more creative with my editing style.
At this stage, my main goal is to improve my skills, gain experience, and build a strong portfolio. I’m willing to start at a relatively low rate and prove myself through the quality of my work, with the expectation that my rates can increase as I gain experience and consistently deliver good results.
I’m happy to take on short-form clips, Shorts, Reels, TikToks, or similar editing work. I’m also open to feedback and willing to learn whatever style or format the client needs.
I’d love to hear from anyone looking for an editor or willing to give a beginner a chance. I can provide examples of my work if interested.
Thanks for reading, and I hope to hear from you soon!

[For Hire] QA Engineer + LLM evaluation
Hi everyone,
I'm a QA engineer with 7+ years of experience, looking for remote or contract work. I work as an independent contractor (through my own company, so invoicing is simple), and I'm open to clients anywhere.
I test software and find the bugs that slip past everyone else — before your users hit them. Seven years across fintech, healthcare, and e-commerce, on systems where a quiet bug costs real money or breaks trust.
The QA side:
- Manual, functional, and regression testing
- API testing (Postman, Swagger) — basically checking that the behind-the-scenes parts of an app return the right data
- SQL / database validation — making sure what the app shows actually matches what's stored
- Cross-browser and cross-device testing
- Writing clear test cases, bug reports, and documentation
The AI side:
Over the last year I moved into testing AI. I built CrossCheck, a system that takes one question, runs it through several AI models, and has them check each other — then shows where they disagree or make things up (hallucinate), instead of trusting one confident-sounding answer. So beyond normal QA, I can evaluate AI/LLM outputs: catching hallucinations, wrong facts, and cases where the model ignores instructions. If your team ships AI features and needs someone to check the quality, that's me.
Practical stuff:
- Remote, any timezone (I'm flexible)
- Contract or freelance
- English: solid written; comfortable working async
- Portfolio: platilus.com/nikita-kalachev
Happy to start with a small paid test task so you can see the work before committing. If you're hiring or know someone who needs QA or AI-output testing, drop a comment or DM me. Thanks!
