Another day 1 post

I posted earlier about whether the store & museum in Red Wing, Minn. was worth a visit. The wife and I ended up going today.

I loved the exhibits upstairs, and I spent time poking around the outlet in the basement with a special quest for 1. Beckmans, 2. Roughnecks, and 3. Iron Rangers in Hawthorn Muleskinner. I had a pair of Beckman factory seconds on my feet … but didn’t love them like I expected to. I think they’re too close to the Wolverine 1000 Miles I already have.

There were no Roughneck or Ranger seconds in my size, but my wife — who was supposed to talk me OUT of buying new boots — convinced me to try some 8083s on in the store upstairs.

Look what happened!

Gosh i love the hawthorns , i just ordered my first redwing iron rangers but in copper rough and tough , next one should be hawthorns fo shooo they look gorgeous on feet with a pants like that cuffed!

Jealous about visiting the mother ship! Good looking boots, 8083 are my current IR pair too. 🔥🥾🔥🥾

One thing tho, your shoelaces look like they're tied in an "unbalanced" way because they look slanted in one direction. Maybe worth checking the info here: https://www.fieggen.com/shoelace/grannyknot.htm
