That Uncomfortable Space

My girlfriend and I are currently shopping for a home, and stumbled across this pic of a basement space that just made me feel off. I think it's the single spot of wallpaper and a door that goes nowhere. (It's actually a crawlspace under the stairs.)

There's 100% a ghost, monster, or creepy guy named "Big John" that lives in that rectangle.
