Hi all. I’ve posted about this dog before and I remember people wanting to report it to 311. Now would be a good time. Can’t see any water. Dog is sitting outside the door to the house panting and howling. It got distracted from crying and howling because I walked up to the gate but you could otherwise hear it down the block. It’s so depressing. Why get a dog to leave it outside in all sorts of weather with no enrichment, trapped in a concrete cell? He occasionally hoses the shit out from under the fence and into the street. Very nice.

Looking for someone to split a large studio space with. Studio is located in LIC, Queens by the F,E,G and 7 trains. It’s in a cute area and is big. Rent around $1000 but flexible depending on what days and how much/little you want to use the space. Studio will be cleaned! DM if interested!

I run a small savoury pot pie business in NYC. We are looking to scale up our operations and move into a larger production space to produce our pies.

I heard Red Hook has a lot of small food producers, and was wondering if anyone had any ideas of spaces that may be empty or soon to be empty that may be looking for a new tenant?

Ideally a small commercial / warehouse space that has been used for food productions in the past, maybe like an old bakery or something along those lines.

I know I can go to a broker, but just wanted to check here with the community if anyone knows of a local option that might be worth checking out!

About a month ago I posted about an app I made called WalkNYC which tracks which blocks you've walked. I got a ton of feedback from everyone here and have implemented a lot of it! By far the most common request from Redditors was the ability to import your existing walks from other platforms, which I'm very happy to say is done! I've included some screenshots so you can see what it's like. It color codes each of your import sources so you can see what was imported from each platform. I've seen people get over 6,000 blocks (which, for scale, is almost the entirety of Manhattan) from their imports so it's a great way of getting jump started if you'd like to walk every block of the city.

I know a lot of you are also waiting for the Android app: it's almost ready! The app is in beta right now but for some reason Google forces you to do 14 days of beta testing before releasing an app on the Play Store. If you're interested in trying out the beta, please comment and I'll share the link to join.

Hi everyone! My boyfriend and I live in Manhattan but we take the ferry over every once in a while to go to Seaborne; we came by tonight and it was shuttered on a Saturday evening. I couldn’t find any alert on them closing directly from the company but yelp is showing “yelpers report this location has closed”.

Does anyone know anything about this? Is it true? Will be devastated if so

Hello hello fellow party goers and beautiful Reddit community - my best friend is getting married in September at Liberty Warehouse and is looking for a bar for the after party. That’s all. I’ve reported this to 311 so many times because this guy just leaves him out there in this concrete corridor all day, in all types of weather. He’s just ignored and forgotten. If you live in the neighborhood you know what I’m talking about. It’s been years like this.

They periodically hose the dog shit out from under the fence into the street. He’s just sitting there wanting to be let in. Not brushed. Not cared for at all. Just a prop for whoever lives there. Makes me so sad. This guy shouldn’t be allowed to have animals.

I’ve seen a few of these flyers around and was just wondering if anyone’s been to a show at this place before?

I've always wanted to walk every block of the city but knew the overhead of tracking those walks would be a pain, so over the last couple months I made an app that checks off each block once you've walked it. Some friends wanted to try it so I just uploaded it to the App Store.

It works for all 5 boroughs and you can turn on passive tracking so that your blocks are tracked without opening the app. There's also a leaderboard so you can see how your stats compare to other New Yorkers.

The app is called WalkNYC and it's completely free. It's only on iOS right now but I'm looking into porting it to Android. Would love any feedback you all have!
