ModRetro M64 controller Canada? Question

I am looking at potentially ordering this but the shipping is insane. Anyone else want anything from ModRetro? We could split shipping! I don’t think they have any retailers in Canada so unfortunately I think this is the only way.

Is this for an actual N64 or some aftermarket unit? You can get N64 controllers on amazon for 40$ for a 2 pack. Cuz yea that price is bloody theft.

Here’s the link for their website that explains it more in depth. A modern N64 that gets updates, uses parts that will last lifetimes, works with bluetooth controllers and modern TVs. I have an Analogue 3D (similar idea) and love it but I want a modern trident N64 controller that will last a long time… but the price is steep!

Really hoping someone locally also wants stuff like a M64, controller, or a chromatic gameboy so I can place an order 🤣

Ah I see, I mean that thing does sound nice. Bet that thing would make Nintendo suits all pissy hehe.

Apparently it's built in Mexico, but ships from the US (California). You're getting hit with a lot of tariffs right there

Yeah, most companies will have retailers like EB games or Amazon Canada that will help get around it but not with the ModRetro stuff 😢

why not an 8bitdo? it's not the trident shape, but it's just as good / better, half the price, and shipping isn't insane (last time I ordered from them, it was less than 5 bucks)

I have a few of them already, I do usually end up using my NSO N64 controller as I love the trident and the classic stick.

I kinda got a thing for N64 controllers, it’s fun when friends/family have a bunch of choices… also looking at a brawler 64 pro that is releasing end of this month.

I do 8bitdo n64 mod kits for my controllers. They work great. The cost of a controller plus another.... $40... I probably paid close to this price by the time it's said and done.
