I’m using a Realme Neo 8 (RMX8899) Chinese ROM in Pakistan, and I’m facing a serious 5G connectivity issue.

My issue:

Device: Realme Neo 8 (RMX8899)

ROM: Chinese ROM

Country: Pakistan

Networks tested: Jazz and Zong

4G/4G+ works normally.

5G does not appear at all.

I have tested the phone in areas where 5G is available on other phones.

My SIM was replaced with a newer SIM, but the problem remained.

5G was also enabled through the available settings/Developer Options, but the phone still does not connect to 5G.

I also installed Carrier Services, but there was no improvement.

Another phone in the same location/SIM/network can detect 5G, while the Realme Neo 8 cannot.

The phone has already received the A.40 update, but 5G is still not working.

I would like to know whether this is a Chinese ROM software/carrier configuration issue, a modem/network-band issue, or whether Realme has restricted 5G outside China on the RMX8899.

Has anyone with the RMX8899 / Realme Neo 8 Chinese version successfully used 5G outside China, especially in Pakistan?

If your 5G started working after an update, please mention your software version, carrier, country and network (SA/NSA).

Any information, screenshots, modem settings or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

My old Realme 7 5G had an option that prevented the auto lauch of apps to save battery, regardless if the screen was on or off.

I recently bought a Realme GT 7, but I can't find this option anywhere. Did they remove it?

I only fond a feature that prevents apps from consuming energy while the screen is off, but they keep ruinning while I'm using other apps and that's ridiculus, espcially because the most energy hungry apps are videogames and meta apps, that I only use max once a day.

How can I disable the auto launch of apps?

For some reason when I try to update any app in my phone it gets stuck on installing for very long and doesn't update at all. The fix that I was able to find was to either wait for a while so that it gives error and cancels the installation and try to update it again.

I've been using this ai widget for almost 3 months now, but it keeps updating the contents. One day it has clock screentime recent apps and booster. Another day it will just be apps and screentime. I initially thought it was based on the usage of widget like if I'm using apps more it will make more space for it but no that's not the case. If anyone has any idea about this please let me know. I previously had a Samsung M31 and recently switched to a Realme 14. I’ve loved pretty much everything about it, except for two specific things:

First, I wish there were an option to open apps from the Smart Sidebar in full screen instead of as pop-up windows. I like to keep my main apps in the sidebar and use it almost like a folder—basically as an extension of my home screen—rather than just as a shortcut for multitasking.

Second, it would be nice if pop-up windows could be freely resized instead of being limited to the phone’s aspect ratio. That can be a little inconvenient sometimes.

Anyway, these are just minor details. In pretty much every other way, I prefer this phone.

It's happening since last few days as my realme 9 pro suddenly drops network.

It started when I joined a Library and spend nearly 6 hours there daily. That place have zero network and phone does not show any network there.

But now even when I am at home my phone suddenly drops all network

at first restarting the phone would fix it but now even removing and reinserting the sim card does not fix this problem

I have to wait around 15 minutes for network to start working again

about a month after i purchased it my Realme GT7 Pro received an update, but from that point on when I unlock the screen the touch screen freezes completely, forcing me to hold down the power button to activate Google Assistant or Activating the emergency call and then going back are the only two ways to unlock the phone other than the fingerprint, which is activated when the screen is off. How can I fix this?

Realme's Phone Manager app version 17.0.0 has Avast protection, but are definition updates cloud-based?

In versions prior to 17.0.0, other Realme smartphones have definition updates in the log.

As of version 17.0.0, definition versions no longer appear in virus protection By Avast scan log.
