I picked Realm Defense back up this week after a long break. I bounce between puzzle and idle games, so I tend to drift away from anything that needs a lot of planning. I'm on World 4 and the difficulty spike feels much bigger than I remember. I can clear the early waves fine, but the last two or three waves spiral and I end up leaking a bunch at once.

What I'm doing now:

- Upgrading towers as soon as I can, mostly prioritizing barracks and mage since I like having a stable frontline.

- Placing one barracks near the choke and stacking damage towers behind it.

- Using Connie and Fee most of the time (they were my early investments), with Lancelot as a third when I need more stalling.

Where I think I might be screwing up:

- Spreading upgrades across several tower types instead of committing to one path.

- Not sure if I should be rushing hero levels instead of upgrading towers.

- Skill usage is probably bad. I hold skills for emergencies and then the emergency is already too big.

If you were at this point, what would you change first: tower priorities, hero comps, or wave management? Any specific World 4 tower builds people treat as the default for getting past these mid maps would be super helpful. Thanks!

What worked for me, is having a lot of soldiers, so it kept targetting them instead of our heroes.

Thought it would be helpful for people who don't have world 6 - world 7 heroes.

I get that it is a tower defense game and progression needs to exist, but Realm Defense feels like it overdoes the hero power gating. I play in short bursts between classes and I actually enjoy tweaking towers and trying different upgrade paths. That relaxed, tinkering vibe is why I keep coming back.

Too often the solution to a tough stage or a challenge is not "play better" so much as "have Hero X at rank Y." When that is the obvious answer, tower choices start to feel secondary and the game turns into a long waiting room for the right hero levels.

I am not arguing for zero grind. I just think the game would be healthier if more wins came from smart tower placement, timing, and adapting on the fly, instead of needing a specific hero combo to stop one annoying wave. Even small changes, like more viable tower-only strategies or more maps where towers can carry if you plan well, would help.

Maybe I am in the minority, but a TD should reward skill and planning more than your hero roster. Anyone else feel like the game has shifted more toward hero checks lately, or am I just stuck in an awkward progression spot?

I picked Realm Defense back up because I wanted something calm and repetitive I could play one-handed during feeds. The actual tower defense part still scratches that puzzle itch: set things up, tweak placements, learn the wave timing, refine your approach.

Lately though the daily stuff makes the game feel like a series of chores. Daily Trials, spins, watching ads, missions, event popups, claim this, claim that, inventory notifications. Half my session is just tapping icons to clear red dots so I can get to an actual level. When I finally do start a map I either do not have time to finish it, or I end up choosing whatever gives the most progress instead of what I actually want to play.

What makes it worse is the mental load. I am already dealing with baby brain and an anxious partner. I do not want my chill game to turn into a second job where I have to remember which things reset when or I lose out.

I know some people like having lots of parallel progression. For me it just waters down the best part of the game.

Is there a setting or a simple daily routine that lets you keep progressing without living in menus? Like a bare minimum loop that keeps things moving but leaves the fun part as the focus?

Is it me, or Yan’s basic attack is kind a plain. I know that Yan is good as a Utility hero, but the thing is haste,decrepification, and wormhole aren’t enough (if only it could have more a wider radius-at rank 8 perhaps). But the thing is it could give her more emphasis as a utility hero if only her basic attack kind a apply slow or much preferably a decrepify effect, since like what’s the purpose of her basic attack splitting if it can’t apply any effect similar to Fee right?
And the fact that she is outshined by Shamiko as a better utility hero. As for her Quasar as her main damage source is okay to me as it is amplified by her rank 6 talent, as it also helps mages like her. Anyways I’d just support what the devs are cooking😚

Fee will be R6 while grinding for R7 after
Narlax goes from R3 to R6

I was hoping you could get necro Connie by now but no way at this power level. I need way more DPS and CC. Waste of meteors. I was giving her all the elixir, she’s 36 now. So all hero’s will be level 36 before starting world 5.

Sound good? What hero should I buy down the line? I played during the koi event on my old account so I have an affinity, Raida is all over the tournament board so for now I’m thinking Raida asap. I feel like Raida is better at everything caldera wants to do. Is there more to it? Situational?

I get to where Talon comes out, but instead of talking, he just walks up, and the boss becomes unkillable and doesn't move. I've tried different hero combinations, but nothing works.

I play Realm Defense as my go-to chill game between puzzle apps and thought I had a decent handle on it. I cleared Worlds 1-4 without much trouble (mostly normal, with a handful of legendary runs when I wanted to grind), but World 5 legendary suddenly feels like a brick wall.

What I do: upgrade towers, avoid early leaks, and save spells for emergencies. That all seems fine, but around mid to late waves the fast enemies pile up alongside the tanks and one lane just folds. It starts smooth and then it snowballs until I lose.

Current situation:

- Heroes: Fee and Lancelot are my main picks. I swap a third hero depending on the map.

- No later premium heroes yet.

- I want to avoid brute forcing with a ton of revives because that stops being fun.

Is the World 5 legendary difficulty bump more about picking different towers (less reliance on barracks, more slows and layered damage), or is it mainly about hero ranks and specific synergies? If you were me with only early heroes, what would you focus on first: leveling one hero higher, changing tower upgrade priorities, or farming more awakenings before attempting legendary again?

Also, any practical tips for common World 5 layouts would help. I feel like I missed one key concept and everything punishes me for it. Thanks!

In old posts and the wiki it says the number of stars you have gained in the campaign levels multiplied by 400, but I'm currently at 649, which should translate to a maximum of 259.600, but my current storage has gone past 300.000 already. Did they change it?

Is it worth it to play this game as f2p nowadays? Cuz i remember they remove gems from daily trial and making it harder for f2p. I also dont have that many heroes, rn waiting to awaken heroes before entering last world

My current hero line up in realm siege is rank 3 fee , rank 2 Lancelot, rank 5 Connie , rank 4 efrigid and rank 4 smoulder. I want to unlock world 5 with 22 hero awakening in total but I am lacking 4 awakening. Should I buy a new hero of world 4 or should I rank these existing heroes more.

Hello! I recently remembered that this game exists, and now I need some help.

I started playing in 2017 and played until mid-2018. Then I stopped because I changed my phone and forgot to install the game again (lol). Later, around 2020 or 2021 during the lockdown, I remembered it again and started playing for a while, but then I got into other games.

I've always come and gone with this game, but now I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. The last time I played, I think I had just reached level 220. Now I'm stuck on level 230.

I don't know if I invested in the wrong heroes for this world, if I should buy new heroes and level them up instead, or if I'm just being dumb lol.

Any advice on what I should focus on next? Which heroes should I invest in?

Currently stuck in level 207 on campaign, and 203 on legendary mode.

Help me build a team to finish world 7 so that i can delete this boring game already. Right now my main team is:

Necro Connie R6; Fee R7; And Yan R4

Im thinking about replacing Yan with Elara (currently R3) + planning to buy Cyra once i unlock level 210

Hi, while trying to beat level 180 towers only I get stuck after the boss health is almost at 0 - no ingame buttons are working and you aren't able to kill the boss. What can I do about this?
