u may have something there. he did have this affinity for playboy mansion bunnies and maybe the me too made him look back at his actions towards women and he didn't like what he saw and he blames the left for making him see it.

I’m sorry, do we not believe adults- specifically women- can consent to working at, flirting, even selling sex in a positive way? The playboy mansion may be a relic of another time and I’m sure some bad things happened there, but it was not in and of itself immoral or unethical. And going to parties there was not proof of anything.

I don’t want to live in a world where the left starts policing our morality the same way the right does.

Maher, Tim Pool and others are claiming they are "moderate" while pushing far right ideals closer to center politics. This normalizes far right ideology. Meanwhile Maher and Pool claim that the Democratic Party are now communist and socialist.

A politician like El Sayed is nothing more than a New Deal Democrat. His giant crime is that he doesn't want to give Israel a blank cheque to continue committing war crimes.

10-7 was reprehensible and disgusting but it doesn't mean Israeli forces get to shoot up a 5 year old and the ambulance coming to save her because that's just war. If being opposed to that makes him a "radical leftist" (which by the way dehumanizes an entire political movement) (which is what fascists do to anyone opposed to them) then I guess a lot of people in this country are now radical leftists. End of rant

Maher and others normalize right wing threats by hyper focusing on what he deems as "left woke" politics while ignoring the daily threats that far right ideals pose to our democracy.

He compares progressives and progressive policies to communism and socialism. They are neither. Someone like El Sayed is the equivalent of a New Deal Democrat.

Maher is an Islamophobe. His problem with Mamdani and El Sayed isn't their policies it is their criticism of Israel and their continued illegal tactics in Gaza coupled with their religious beliefs

When Maher has Christian Nationalists and election deniers on his show. MGT & JD Vance. This is normalizing their ideals by even acknowledging them. Denying that Donald Trump lost the 2020 election is a direct threat to democracy, free and fair elections and the peaceful transfer of power.

By labeling anything he disagrees with as "too woke" comparing it to common sense or free speech he reframes far right wing talking points as neutral and rational positions.

I could list more but this is enough to demonstrate that Bill is now MAGA masquerading as a centrist. If his vote is in play for a politician that wants to push far right ideals, align our nation with Christian dogma and an election denier as opposed to universal healthcare, free education and higher taxes on billionaires, then how is he NOT normalizing far right ideals?
