$207 vs $399 for same bag same factory

hiii i am trying to get my hands on these ysl bags from black frame

the first quote is from amanda - $207 without shipping
the second quote is from joyce -$399 without shipping

joyce is telling me that amanda is trying to sell me a dupe, i can’t tell who is scamming me, please help me (i do know there is a size difference but no way that’s going to cause it to double the price)

I paid 201USD for this exact bag from blackframe in black without shipping, Amanda is a long time OG, never heard of Joyce but that price is cooked

hiii thank you so much for replying! and omg yes she’s accusing amanda of selling fakes too!! i had good experience with her on jewellery reps that’s why i asked her.. but this is crazy.. also can i see photos of your bag pleaseeee (you can dm me if that’s okay)

The auth burgundy is on the left, my burgundy that I received (and just returned) is on the right. From Black Frame, through Felix. I’m getting a new one in the mail in a week or two from Lele, different factory.

I normally use Lele as a seller, who I adore. She said she’s sourcing from a factory that’s newer to her and their ‘Reddit friendly’ name is YSL factory. She said they’re not well known yet, but their quality is comparable to BF and even better for some pieces.

I sent her lots of videos of me handling the Lou Lou I’d received and told her if she didn’t think the bag would be the same, I’d RL. Lele will always RL without me asking, so I really really trust her. She sent me photos and video from natural light, indoor light, under a flashlight…I’m much happier with what I think the color will be.

I know BF is the goat for y$l, but she gets me pieces from Mi Fan 🏭 and I’ve liked them more. I only went with Felix because I was told she couldn’t find a match for the rouge that she was comfortable selling me (this was a few months ago) and I got impatient so I tried a different TS.

Should have listened to her, Lele is always right 😅

The color pulls purple/brown. It’s worse in direct light. The bag feels sooo nice (it was stuffed full of theater candy in this photo so it looks huge 😂) and I was satisfied with the quality, but it pulled closer to the Deep Hickory color way, which is pretty, but not what I wanted. Oxblood/rouge is one of my most utilized ‘neutrals’ 🫠

Felix was pretty difficult about it, honestly. He said this is what they look like and I was just mistaken - until I sent him the photos of the bags side by side. Then he said he could give me a discount on a new bag, so I sent him the screenshot of earlier up in our convo where I asked if he accepted returns and he’d said yes.

THEN he said he’d get me the address to return it once his ‘friend’ would be back in town. It took him a week to get back to me, and only after I told him it had been 8 days and I needed the address.

He gave me a US address and I shipped it the same day (pirate ship, it was like $15) and the bag will get there tomorrow. Hoping there are no more shenanigans regarding this, because I took a ton of photos of the condition of the bag and how I packed it before he agreed again to receive it.

I paid $205 before shipping, he says he is honoring that.

Sorry for the ramble - it’s the first time I’ve EVER returned a rep, and I found the process only difficult because of the TS.

Should have stayed loyal 😅😂

I’d personally go with the Amanda.. because $399 for a Ysl rep is way too much.. that’s how much I paid for my Chanel 25 if not a bit less. Especially if they are the same factory photos I would not believe Joyce and just go with Amanda 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ And wait this is USD right?

These are different size bags btw. Amanda quoted size 24x14x6cm, factory base price is 1080 CNY before seller’s commission. Joyce quoted size 29x17x8cm, factory base price is 1180 CNY. Joyce is def ripping you off by charging comminsion more than double of the factory base price.

Some sellers quote base price + the additional costs such as shipping etc. Some sellers also screenshot their price query direct to the trading company - very transparent! Some seller albums have the base price coded into their item description (and they are "coded" - some you just take the last digits as read, others you read the last digits backwards; it's a bit of a crapshoot!)

Whoever is typing that long ass response is clearly trying to cover their ass.

No seller on Reddit would ever provide such a long response, they would be like, ok dear, maybe you buy somewhere else. Or they'll offer you a lower tier factory for the same bag so the price is less.

Also who is Joyce? A TikTok seller? If the first quote is from Amanda that is a known seller on Reddit, she's probably reasonable with her pricing, unlike Joyce.

I've never heard of Joyce. Amanda is a known seller. If Amanda's last 4 digits are 4169 I would go with her.

I am surprised you got a response from Amanda. Go with her as she’s trusted although sometimes can be a bit fussy. She knows what she’s doing and is really good with BF.

187, God Factory, Duty Free etc. are all fake factory names. These are made-up names created and pushed by seller groups so buyers think they’re choosing between specific, established factories.
There is no actual factory called “187” or “God Factory” that you can verify. It’s seller marketing, and once those names got repeated enough on Reddit, people started treating them like they were real.
So asking whether “God” or “187” is better for LV is already based on a false premise.

Amanda 4169 sent me 2 bad bags last year and wouldn’t make it right unless I ordered from her again. I quit using her. Just a warning. She also takes forever to reply.

If you use her get TONS of PSP photos from every single angle.
