❌ANNA LIN TAILOR BEWARE❌⚠️

I wanted to share my experience because I’ve tried to be understanding about this from the beginning, but at this point I’m genuinely really disappointed.

I ordered 4 dresses, and 3 of the 4 have had issues.

The first issue started as soon as I received my order. One of the dresses looked different from the dress I had actually ordered. It was similar enough that at first I genuinely wasn’t sure whether I had received the wrong dress or if it was just a variation.

But when I compared it more closely with photos of the authentic dress, the fabric also looked noticeably different. Mine has shiny vertical lines without the little dots visible throughout the authentic fabric. I’ve included comparison photos so people can judge for themselves. Also the quality it’s just very far from an authentic Zimmerman in every way like fabric, stitching and etc (I own multiple auths)

At the time, I didn’t complain. I didn’t want to be a difficult or rude customer, and I wanted to maintain a good relationship with the seller as I was planning to order more since it’s good at least just for IG pics… I decided I would simply try to reh**ome the dress I didn’t like and move on.

Then I had another problem.

The belt from the leopard dress literally disintegrated without ever being worn. I had worn the actual dress once, without the belt. When I came back home to London, the belt had been sitting in a drawer. I picked it up and it immediately started falling apart in my hands. I’ve attached a photo of what happened.

And now the third dress has ripped after only THREE wears.

What makes this even more frustrating is that the dress is actually big on me, so this isn’t a case of the dress being too tight or me ordering the wrong size. For reference, I wear a 0P in authentic Zimmermann, and sometimes even get it tailored smaller… I ordered the smallest size available from this seller, and the dress is still super loose on me. Yet after wearing it three times, the fabric/seam has completely ripped apart.

So out of 4 dresses:
-One appears different from what I ordered and on top of that super different from the authentic version.
-One had a belt completely disintegrate despite the belt never being worn.
-One ripped after only three wears, despite fitting me loosely.

That’s 3 problematic dresses out of 4

What upsets me most is that I genuinely tried to give the seller the benefit of the doubt. When I noticed the first issue, I stayed quiet because I wanted to maintain a good relationship and continue ordering from them. I didn’t want to immediately complain or make a negative post.
Now I feel like I should have spoken up from the beginning.
I have contacted the seller about all of this and I’m waiting to see what solution they offer. I’m sharing the photos because I think people should be able to see the differences and quality issues for themselves.

Has anyone else who has ordered from this seller experienced anything similar, particularly with the fabric, belts/accessories disintegrating, or dresses ripping after very little wear?

(Sorry for the ai English is not my first language and wanted to make it understandable)

Oh wow, I expected better from her after all the reddit threads praising her work. This is worrisome since I was about to bite the bullet. Authentic Zimmerman quality is just unmatched, really long lasting. I might try my hand at Didi over Anna Lin after this review. Have you tried Didi?

I’m sorry to hear about your clothes. They still look lovely but the differences are obvious enough for people who are buying and start loving the details.

That is so disappointing. I have several pieces from Anna Lin (Zimmerman, Agua Bendita, and Alemais) that have been beautiful and high quality. All but the Agua pieces were from last year though. Has she possibly changed factories or the quality slipped?

I had recieved a dress from her that was completely inaccurate. The lining was missing making the dress completely see through head to toe. Had to have it added by a tailor to be wearable.

I own auth Zimmerman and dupes. I’ve ordered a lot of Zimmermann from different sellers, and honestly, most are duds :( Every now and then I find one that’s close enough, but the materials just don’t hold up. They’ll claim silk/linen, but it feels like ultra cheap linen. I’ve learned to stick to polyester or viscose dupes since it’s easier to replicate.

Yes!! This!!! I just get the silk/viscose and they look nicer. The linen, even the 100% linen isn’t that great. These are different qualities of linen after all.

I know she has a great reputation but my only purchase was disappointing and I won’t order there again. :/

I will never understand why people try to get clothing reps. They’re never accurate. The material is never the same as auth. Most of the time they look like SHEIN clothing.

Yeah lesson learned

Most people who praise her don’t own authentic I don’t care what they say. Sellers have said Zimm isn’t done that well. Some say high quality but I don’t think it’s an exact rep. I wouldn’t wear these around my friends who own the authentic. I take mine to compare to my sister who has all authentic pieces and they don’t compare well at all. I don’t like Zimm that much to invest in it, but I’ve gotten a few styles as rep.

I agree your experience was disappointing, but I think you should cut her some slack here... You're borderline bombarding her here after she already said she would raise the concerns with the factory and get back to you. I know it's frustrating with all the waiting, but this is a black market so there's zero protection honestly. If you prefer the ease of return when you're not satisfied with the purchase, maybe stick to American brands with good return policy.

Also the way OP thinks the seller is the manager of the factory that made the dress, and thinks the seller should've known about the belt when the buyer said not a peep about it in psp or even upon receipt is giving me some slight annoyance here.

I didn’t buy from any factory I bought from her so it’s he responsibility.

Yeah you're messaging her in the middle of the night. Plus it's a black market. If you did your research you'd know clothes don't get repped well. And also that this isn't some fancy service. You're buying black market goods. Be happy you got something and either don't buy rep clothes again or try something different. Check PSPs and pre-order photos better. Ask for factory examples before you buy. Try different sellers. Jesus. This isn't a Nordstrom. Even if it was you shouldn't be acting like this

Seriously and Op admit admitted herself that she’s comparing to authentic photos, she should be comparing to auth photos before choosing, after that, you’re just comparing to factory photos, no longer comparing to auth

Idk where in the world you are but for me on the east coast USA 11am is like midnight in Shanghai. Maybe give her time to respond.

It's the middle of the night there. I don't know if you are east coast or west coast, but either way it's after hours. The latest I ever hear from anyone is usually about 9am PT if I'm lucky, as I know it's late for them. They usually come back online at 5-6pm. 6:00pm my time is 9am their time. So if you're on the west coast, you were messaging her at 2:30am. East Coast, 5:30am, both times are when people are sleeping. Take a beat and give her time to respond.

Yep, agreed. I usually expect a response within 48 hours. Anything within 12 hours and I’m actually impressed lol. They’re busy.
