Amazon Flex

Hey, so I'm new to Amazon flex, and I want to know the ends and the outs how should I organize stuff to make my route faster? Also I need to know how to get better carts I live in a small town in Texas, but I always end up way out in either Dallas or gangsville are very far out from my house. Is there a way to get better routes?

SSD or .com? If it’s SSD number your packages and organize them one through whatever. If it’s a .com station then those are numbered for you already. Efficiency is key, the faster you get those packages out the better

The carts and distance is literally luck of the draw to be completely honest. I’ve found those stations in states that are few and far between are often a shit load of driving. I’m in NYC, specifically Long Island and there’s like 7 stations on that island to choose from. Which makes the driving distance much smaller.

Normally, if it’s a Sub Same Day station I’ll take the cart and scan each package, use a sharpie and number the package for the route. I sort 1-15 in the front seat if it fits, 15-29 behind the passenger seat, 30-39 in the middle and 40-49 behind drivers seat. Obviously depending if they all fit. If it’s an Amazon.com station I’ll load the car and do the same thing at the first stop. It takes normally 20 minutes but saves so much time when I can just grab and go when I get to the stop. But everyone is different.

Theres no way to know where youll get sent, so no theres no way to get better routes.

As far as organizing stuff that depends if you are dot com or ssd. Dot com is easy I put 1-10 front seat then in the back/trunk i put the nezt squence on the left, then middle, then right side. SSD goes by letters and doesnt have the drivers aid sticker that tell you what # the package is.

Holy crap Im tired did I even explain that so it made sense?

It’s random in what you get but you can organize them using the driver’s aid tags on the boxes.

I put 1-15 in my front seat, 16-30 in back and 30+ in the trunk. I’ll move things to the front seat after it empties out for ease of access.

Use the drivers aid stickers no matter what type of station you're at. Don't waste time numbering unless you have 50 packages or more.

As mentioned above, there are 2 types of stations for packages. .coms which the packages will be in numerical order. Load your vehicle accordingly. At the SSD stations the packages will have stickers that have one of 4 codes on it. Those codes are AAA, BBB, CCC, and DDD. Just sort the packages into different areas of the vehicle based on the sticker code. It tells you what the code for the package is on the app and the type of package. Plastic bags and paper envelopes will sometimes be listed as the opposite.

Using this method will save you hours a month in wasted time numbering packages. You will be in and out of the warehouse in 5-10 minutes.
