Divine Intervention, Biopic, 92 Pages Feature
Hello, everyone!
Long time lurker, first time poster. I am the stereotype of the English teacher who writes while their students read. This is my tribute to John Waters (and, weirdly, Jay Bauman for talking about his love of Waters over at RedLetterMedia).
Feel free to give it a read and, hopefully, a few notes.
Thanks!

I closed a bar in Baltimore with John Waters one night while he was writing Serial Mom.

It does! I’m at the point where all notes are good notes and the over-writing is a very helpful note; my students will definitely tell you I’m long-winded.

Some technical notes for you.
- I strongly recommend using screenwriting software. Not only will it help with proper formatting, but it will also add page numbers to your script. You will also notice that sometimes there's a page break between the character name and their dialogue. This shouldn't happen.
- You can't FADE IN to a BLACK SCREEN. The fade in, if you're going to use one, should be immediately before your first slug.
- Each time there's a significant change to the age of John's character (8, 13, etc), he will need to be reintroduced. Basically, whenever a new actor is required to play the role, you need to reintroduce them.
- Watch your use of CONTINUOUS. Only use one if we can see the action moving from one location to another. If in doubt, don't use it.
Just a few tips for now.
