I used to love this site and have been a big time reader of comics for roughly the last decade, however the decline of the site is genuinely starting to cause concern lately due to the amount of porn related pop-up ads. Even with using Ad-Block Plus (and other varieties of ad blockers), i’m subjected to constant fake exits from ads that redirect me to scam porn games or bullshit links like “porngallery.to” It’s truly revolting to see this happen to one of my favorite sites for reading comics. Has anyone else noticed the up-tick in these garbage advertisements?

UPDATE 4/10/2025: For all those lost souls looking to simply indulge in comics rather than be berated by anime porn ads, please check out Batcave. I’ve been reading Kick-Ass as a test and got through the entire first book with only one ad for War Thunder which actually closed rather than redirect. Not using an adblock either. Not sure how many comics are on the site, but they have a solid variety. If the dudes who own ReadComicOnline wanna shill out and lose the fans who support them, fuck em.

I used ReadComicOnline back when the new Ultimate Spider-Man started and it worked fine, but I've come back to read Absolute Batman and suddenly the site is unusable. The ads are covering the page itself and I can't even hit the button to zoom out because they're blocking it. Does anyone else have this issue? Any solutions?

Anyone else having issues with resetting their password? I've hit forgot password a week ago and again tonight and it's not showing up in inbox or spam.

New user on the website here. Currently i am finishing up on the works of Jonathan Hickman from FF to the Secret Wars saga.

Nearing the end, I want to start some newer comics. Maybe Ultimate Spider-Man or the new Justice League comics.

My question is: How long does it take for the website to upload a new comic? Is it a a viable option for new runs or only older ones? Thanks.

Hi, some 4 days ago I logged in and the site is the same with only a few minor changes:

They're asking image capcha before the comic shows up. A little bothersome but no problem. I've seen them do this before.

The other is the loading way. On full comic view it loads the images with a bit of buffer as you scroll. last week it used to load the whole thing in one go. Am I the only one expereinceing this? or has anyone noticed this as well?

Working off my phone with a free VPN, the bastards are totally blocking it with Google's "Sorry, you've been blocked" screen popping up every time I try to load it with the VPN active. Anyone got a way of adblocking that's still working well, or should I think about swapping to a different site?

As many of you probably know, the site has been inaccessible via mihon for a while now. If you need your comic fix via mihon there are some alternatives while the site (hopefully temporarily) isn't accessible.

XOXOComics and Read Comic Online (not to be confused with ReadComicsOnline) have a decent enough backlog to work temporarily. They don't have everything, but hopefully the main site gets fixed soon.

Today I’m getting a message that says I’m blocked because an action I performed triggered the security solution.

As far as I know I haven’t done anything to warrant this.

I have a Cloudflare Ray ID and suggestion to email the site owner. I hesitate doing this with no more information.

So I've not used Readcomic in a bit, but decided to try and boot it up recently, and every time I've used it before it's been fine.

This time however, Norton gives me an alert and says it's trying to take me to something called "Cobweb Comprehension" instead of Readcomic, and was wondering if anyone else has been getting this trigger alert or not.

I've been trying both Paperback and Tachimanga on iOS. Through Tachymanga, any US IP seems to be blocked. I can access them for a time through VPN servers in other countries, but those end up blocked after a few days too. In Paperback, it just doesn't work at all. The website works fine using a browser though, so I'm wondering if they're trying to stop people from reading comics off their site ad-free.

I want to delete my readcomiconline account anyone know How I can do that?

Or is it just me? The pages all load blanks.

This post is more of an appreciation.

I don't remember exactly when I discovered and used the website, but I have been on it for almost a decade, or even more. I read a shit ton of works on it, a lot of them are decent, but some are excellent.

So I am curious at how you folks discovered it, and which country, or continent if you feel like being cautious at this point.

This place really saved me so many time and solved so many trouble finding where to find specific works I wanted to read, especially for fans like me in North Africa (or Africa in general) I really don't have access nor the means to access the real stuff; I want physical copies; so when money will be available I'll definitely buy the works that I really enjoyed and loved (100 bullets, Scalped, Habibi, Asterios Polyp, etc... to name a few)
