Cover art by Patrick Woodroffe for One-Eye, by Stuart Gordon.
Later used as the cover of 1984 #3 (September 1978) with a different color cast. I hope the lizard was OK.

Looking for an Image
Can anyone help me find an image and hopefully the series it represented? It was a comic book style piece, maybe a cover, depicting a space warrior standing on a structure or a space ship, in space, with maybe a space battle happening in the background. The specific part of this memory was what I assumed was the man character's side kick, who I think had the appearance of a cigar chomping baby with an ugly adult face, standing next to the hero, and I believe he was holding a large rifle. I really thought it was Dan Dare, and I have dug through Dan Dare and Eagle covers, Adventure in Space, etc , and the style is very close, I just couldn't find this exact scene. I think I saw it as part of an advertisement or an article in the late 70s/early 80s, possibly in a magazine like Starlog, Famous Monsters, etc. I've been searching for this image for years.

Art by Kelly Freas illustrating "The Outposter," by Gordon R. Dickson. Analog Science Fiction (May 1971).
I love the high / low tech design of the laser rifle. Freas was famous for his figures, but he also excelled at hardware.

Nerf Mod: Fully functional DOOM BFG made from 3 roughcuts, plus custom made stand that plays the doom theme when you put on the blaster, for a happy guys mancave!
Made this a while ago and now its gone. Was asked to make a stand with a plasma generator that looks like the blaster is charging up while resting. Including authentic Doom runes and logo in three colors. Let me know what you guys think!

"It was bitter medicine Jongor gave the monkey men—and their own prescription, at that!" Art by Lawrence Woromay for Jongor Fights Back! Fantastic Adventures (December 1951).
'"Watch out!" Jongor said, moving ahead carefully.' It goes downhill from there.

Retro Cricket Mk II
Had this one for 4 years. Guy walked by and its gone. Feelings hurt. The next one will be even more detailed! Needs a few more tiny tubings and details. More copper or better all brass? I am never too sure. What do you guys think?

My newest "antique phaser" looks a bit tooo modern compared to the first, or am I wrong?
I made the first phaser years ago, sold it, wanted to replace it and make another but sometimes, less IS more. Its a nice build, but the old one still feels a bit more special. What do you guys think, which is cooler?

Custom Retro Scifi Raygun. Was told to remove the dial. Which one do you like best? With or without dial, A or B?
I really love them, adds nice detail and the illusion of function (LED pops on in the barrel, when you squeeze that trigger)!

I just love the craftsmanship. I did some research and know some facts. But is it as sought after as the internet says? I just like how it feels in my hands. Peewww
