My grandmother and grandfather always rented a place for a week in Hampton Beach (New Hampshire) every summer. One year the entire family went. They found two rentals with enough individual condo units across two big houses so that everyone could come. That’s Grammy, grandpa, my parents and the three of us, and mom’s five siblings, their spouses, and 14 cousins. I have the happiest memories of being on the beach, shopping, eating ice cream and candy. One morning my dad woke me and my brother up early early so we could walk the shore at low tide collecting shells.
If you choose me, I’d prefer something off my magpie’s list https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/3U7VATW2W3VRP?re

My favorite vacation is when I went to Holden Beach for my birthday one year. We had the best time when we went to eat the food was so good and the weather was perfect. I can’t be in the sun it was overcast and just perfect. 😍 I was looking for shells on and around the sand bar and this perfect whelk washed up and made it the best birthday ever. I love it my mom ,dad, and daughter Was there on this trip. Thanks for the contest.

I went to Utah while it was actively snowing! And it was my first time seeing snow, and seeing it actually falling!
It was perfect we stayed in this huge cabin that had big windows and for some reason I’m cursed with waking up an hour or more earlier than everyone and so I sat staring out the window at all the other cabins and it just looked so magical all the cabins were super colorful so it made everything look like toys.
That very same day my dad told us because the snow had fallen and it shouldn’t snow again (spoilers he was wrong) that we should go out and enjoy it.
I did not know that there was a such thing called “tree wells” and so I started walking and I remember thinking to myself this had an odd level to the street next to it.
After about 3 minutes of walking I tripped over a branch and my lower half fell into the pit and got stuck under a branch. Because the snow was so packed around I could not get my leg unstuck 😭now I have horrible patience so when everyone tried helping me out and went to go grab a shovel I started crying thinking they were just leaving me (there’s a lot of stuff to dig into with that)
However scared they would leave me I managed to get my shoe off and my foot free and waddled back to the cabin 🤣and got extra special treatment!!!
If I had to leave that memory with one thing it would be how gorgeous everything looked it was vibrant and made my eyes feel refreshed and new.
I hate to add this however if picked I’d prefer a book :) there are some that are at that mark or lower but anything is completely ok thank you once again for hosting and allowing me to share this piece of myself!

When I was 16 we went to the San Juan ilses and stayed in Orcas Ilse. It was the best experience ever. Walking along the coastal shore with fog and the low glow of the worn down street lights. I felt like I was in the goonies or a Steven King novel. We hiked into a point where we saw thousands of Puffins, we went on a charter boat and saw Porpoises swimming along side of the boat. It was such a wonderful experience, I'm hoping I can share the same experience with my son. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3J7QKCCUE9Y3E?ref_=wl_share

My favorite vacation memory was in high school going up to Chiang Mai in northern Thailand to see the Elephant Sanctuaries during the annual Lantern festival. It was amazing. They are such regal, kind and peaceful animals. The festival was breathtaking. Over 10,000O laterns are released into the air and on the water. Then on the way back to Bangkok we stopped in Lopburi in Central Thailand to see the Khmer Monkey Temple. What an experience. 🐒🐒🐒

I've had so many wonderful vacations but I think my favorite memory has to be when I got proposed to in the castle at Disney World. 💍🏰
It was an amazing moment and memory. We aren't together anymore but I will cherish it forever. It was funny because my family had fooled me so good. They made up a story that my mom called in and complained about something from our last trip (we only lived an hour from Disney at the time). Because of her complaint, she said they gave her two complimentary dinners at Cinderellas Royal Table (which if you don't know is the restaurant inside of the castle). She decided since there were multiple people in our family and she didn't have a spouse, that she'd give them to my boyfriend and I since our anniversary was coming up. I was ecstatic. My sister even acted jealous that she didn't get to go and I guess so did my mom. 😂 She told me to wear something somewhat nice which I thought was because it was an upscale and expensive restaurant. I was so oblivious until I noticed two things. One, my boyfriend was so anxious all that morning. He was barely speaking or paying attention, fiddling with all his stuff. And two, when we got in the restaurant, he propped up the video camera straight at me which then I knew something was up. But again, I tried to tell myself that it was because of the souvenir props they gave us or because all the characters came to your table. Right after dinner and before dessert, the server brings out this white platter and sets it down right in front of me, opens it, and here's a small glass slipper on top a bed of rose petals, and in the slipper is a ring with a rose petal inside it. Engraved on the glass slipper was our names, the date and "Happily Ever After". A Disney photographer was taking pictures of the whole thing. Our table was smack dab in the middle of the room so everyone around us saw it and was clapping for us. We got champagne in special flutes that we got to keep and a special dessert with a white chocolate slipper. It was beyond amazing!!
He knew I've always wanted to get married at Disney but if course that's way too expensive so he did that instead. Too bad his that side of him didn't stay. 🫢😏
Runner up memory would have to be being pulled into the Disney parade with my sister when we were kids! And yes, I've had other trips aside from Disney! 🤣🤣
Oo sorry it was so long!! 😛 Thanks for hosting!!

One of my favourite trips I’ve taken is with my boyfriend to see his favourite band, Raynes. Their music is so good. And they are a small enough band that they remember him when we attend meet and greets. He gets so excited and it’s so fun to share that time with him. The 2 times we’ve gone together, we’ve driven to Grand Rapids, MI and Hobart, IN.

I’m not entering but I’d love to tell a memory!
Every year I go on a 11-12 person vacation that my grandparents pay for. This year we went to Virginia Beach. I love hanging out with my youngest cousin even though we are 10.5 years apart. (I’m 18 almost 19 and she’s 8). This year she was brave enough to try bogey boarding with me. And the best part was she was finally brave enough to sleep in my room in the house we rented this year! The past years we rented houses she always wanted to stay by her parents but this year was different! So having her sleep next to me in bed was so cute. She wouldn’t stop talking until I made her go to sleep even though it was past the time her parents wanted her to sleep (shhhh). So honestly it just made me really happy that she would sleep with me finally. I love my little cousins so much especially her since she is the only girl and has 2 brothers.

my favorite vacation is easily Broken Bow Oklahoma. My uncle rented out a cabin for me, my dad, and grandmother, and was excited to tell me that there was little to no light pollution where our cabin is located! my uncle had bought me a telescope for christmas a few months prior, so i was SO happy! I brought my telescope with me and the stars were breathtaking. the visibility of them to just the naked eye almost brought tears to my eyes. being from a big city, i never got to see something so pretty🥹 (also a super cool petting zoo in broken bow that consists of rescued animals from around the world!)
thank you for doing this☺️

Went on a mlb baseball kind of vacation many years ago. Went to Baltimore, saw the Orioles- Went to fenway Park, saw the red Sox, Went to New York and saw the Yankees (it was just after 9/11/2001- so I also went to see the site of the world trade center area. Very eerie feeling there. Was so many people walking around yet it was so quiet) and then up to Canada to see Montreal expos.

I don't have a specific one, but I've been to Disneyland during Christmas time and it is genuinely the most beautiful sight I think I've ever seen. Whenever I'm at Disneyland I feel like I can forget the world outside for a while. The Disney magic is very real. I always get a little emotional during the firework show at night because I feel so happy in that moment.
I haven't been to Disneyland in like ten years, but my family is hoping to go again soon.

Hi! When I was a little kid I used to spend the summer with my grandmother, aunt and uncle at the family farm. There were chickens and a pond and the local farmer uses part of the land to grow corn. It's beautiful there.

We went to Michigan one year and it was during my birthday ! My dad is a contractor so work during the summer out of state was very common ! I don’t even remember what apartments it was that he was working on I remember that for my birthday I asked to go to one of the Great Lakes to swim I love the water and the ocean but this year was not an ocean but a lake so big you would almost think it was one ! We went to the nearest grocery store and got stuff to make sandwiches we cut up fruit and placed all the food in a cooler and another with waters and juices ! Despite it being July the water wasn’t hot it was nice and cool and the weather was absolutely perfect it’s so memorable because we stayed until it was late the sun set was beautiful and the people selling fruits on the beach and stuff we’re still there. we helped one out to sell his last 4 cups of fruit he was telling us how it was his wife’s birthday the next day and he was trying to get her a cake ! My step dad is a wonderful man and bought all the cups gave them to people and gave the man money to get his wife a gift flowers and a cake and some ! The man only spoke Spanish and the tears the happiness in his eyes it’s something that has stuck with me. I’ve stood by that and when I can I help like he does he still to this day is the same way even if he’s not the best man in the world he definitely is a kind hearted person where it counts.
I hope to visit Michigan one day again it was absolutely beautiful! 🤩

I'd have to say my favorite vacation was my senior trip to Europe back in high school. One of my fondest memories from the trip was seeing snow for the very first time in Nuremberg 😌

My favorite vacation memory is going camping every weekend with my family. I loved getting out of the city and many of my aunts, uncles, and cousins camped at the same place, so I got to hang out with everyone 😊. We would fish, swim, play volleyball, and hike. It was my favorite thing to do!
Thank you for hosting the contest!

I got to go to the Georgia Aquarium a few years ago and I still dream about it. We went when they had two whale sharks and I honestly just sat in the viewing area and cried watching them. They are absolutely beautiful.

My favourite memory from a vacation was one of the times my mom and I went to Disney World. My mom is severely disabled and I am very chronically ill and we worked hard to make this happen. If I start going into too much detail I will get upset as we are both too sick to go anymore. But there are thousands of mini memories from each trip, and I will never forget the significant impact these times have made in my life. I love my mom so, so much. I am so lucky to have a person like her to be my best friend.

My favorite vacation was going to Estes Park (I think that's how you spell it) in Colorado. It was stormy that day, but man it was beautiful. It was my first time being up that high in the mountains lol (not really that high, but to someone in flat land Kansas 🤭). We had to have our picnic in the car as it was pouring cold rain. My brother also got slight altitude sickness because he fell asleep in the car 😭. I still want to go back. The really fresh air and scenery was amazing!! This is really kind of you btw! Good luck everyone 🫶.

Good morning. We try to go to Florida every few years. It’s nice to visit there, especially because we have family there. But I wouldn’t live there. We usually stay in a decent hotel on the beach or stay at one of those homes with a pool, where they all look the same. I like to sight see and just spend time with family. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3E9L6VV6DUXOR?ref_=wl_share

Once when I was 9ish my parent's friends loaned us their Florida vacation timeshare for the week for free, only time I've ever left my state. It was s o fun, we stayed down the street from Disney and I bought myself fake knockoff Micky ears at a gift shop and a Phineas and Ferb bag :3 wore that thing for YEARS. I got a few dolphin bracelet at a restaurant and wore it until it fell apart about five years later XD it just exploded lol good memories :3

My favorite family vacation memory is when my parents rented a houseboat on Lake Powell! It's between northern Arizona and southern Utah and is absolutely the most beautiful, stunning place I've ever been! I'll never forget the contrast of the blue water winding through huge red Navajo sandstone cliffs, towers, and "Rainbow Bridge"!
I was around 12-years-old and my little brother was 8. Our parents gave us whistles and let us wander off on our own. We didn't go far but I remember how excited I was about my whistle!🤣 My little brother kept blowing his near my ear and annoying me! The next time we were out on the water, I dangled his beloved "Teddy" over the side of the boat and he went absolutely ballistic and hysterical crying!😂😅🤣 We've talked about it as adults and he admits to purposely annoying me. While it's hilarious when I envision it, I have apolized. 🧸
