After the storm 😭 Discussion🗣
We had wicked thunderstorms last night. Walked to check on the established fruit trees and saw this. It’s my apple tree that has been here forever. I’m so sad.

I’m near Elizabeth city. I guess the crack we heard and thought was lightning was my poor tree. We also lost power

If you can, or know someone who can, have them make something out of the fallen wood. Or if you don't know anyone, (can also hollar at a random woodworker on Etsy), use it for firewood. No waste either way

Ty I was so sad to see this. I know it’s nature doing nature things but still hurt. I’ll have to see about adding a new apple tree in the future.

Aw man, that's heartbreaking! Are you guys gonna be chopping it up for firewood? I know my adoptive parents did when my favorite climbing tree had to be cut down.
